Pacers up.
"Thibs called back and wanted more picks," said Jorge Sedano. "And Pat Riley, literally, I was told, called him a mother-bleeper and hung up the phone."

I agree with that line of thinking as well.

There's a difference between getting offended and disagreeing with someone else about how good a team will be.

On the Bulls board and the Bears board there's always a debate about how good the team is. Isn't the point of Realgm for people to engage each other in discussions?

Discussions are great. They are the reason that I post in RealGM

Eagerly waiting the conclusion of this to see if he goes with the upset or the incumbent for best record next year.

well im not sure if 80 million in luxury tax buys you a championship
or not; but i do think itll buy you a regular season title.

next up: Miami.

I agree that he's a good player and a great upgrade for the Bulls, I disagree that nobody's saying he's an all star.

A few of my fellow bulls fans have been pegging him as far as the #2 option or 2nd most important player on the on the Bulls. I definitely have seen one or two people state his case for the all star game next season. I would say that's wildly overrating him, at least as he projects out this season.

Love the respect and all, and while the best record should come out of the East with it's lack of depth Miami and Indy both have a better chance of the most wins. Just this week Kidd said KG will not play both games in back to backs and they have injury concerns across the board (though excellent depth). I have them at roughly 55 wins as quick athletic teams (GS, Detroit, Denver, etc.) can get the best of them and they don't have a dominant home court advantage ...yet..which you need for large win totals. Also, I don't think the Nets have a top 10 D which can win you any game on any given night.

They lost 2 very important pieces in Jack and Landry. Jarrett Jack was the supersub for that team. He was in my mind the lynchpin to the whole operation. He'd come in and give you leadership, scoring, pg play, and was there if and when Curry needed some time off. I thought he was the heart and soul of that Warrior team. And I don't know where they are going to go to replace him. They won't get a fraction of his contribution from Toney Douglas, I'll guarantee you that. And if Curry played 25 games last year, Jack could have stepped in and the team could have carried on with only a slight limp. If Curry plays 25 games this year they'll be hopping to the finish line with one leg amputated. And Landry was only slightly less crucial. His contribution off the bench, his efficiency especially, allowed the Warriors to keep firing on that offense when Lee took a breather. Speights can do a couple nice things on the floor, but, he's not going to measure up to what Landry gave them. Not even close. So, two huge strengths of the team have been converted into weaknesses.

About Golden State your right, and these were my sentiments exactly as well. People really underrate Jack and Landry, and all that they offered won´t be replaced by Iggy nor Douglas. They took one step forward and two steps back basically.

Looks like I'm going to have to shave about 2 wins per team off my projections on average.

Can you do a playoff ranking where you focus purely on the first 4 seeds in the west and east and how they will play come April

I second this. I'd also love if you could include some commentary on what you think would happen if the Lakers got the 4 seed.

Jimmy looks like a guy who will get run down by the coach and I am interested to see how he plays as a full time sg. IIRC his numbers were better as the sf.

Rough Draft finished. Next up, revise the total wins to add up to 1230. Will have to chop off about 65 wins. Going to be quite the paring job.
