Re: FFL - 2013-14 - Draft Starts Saturday - 8 hrs per pick

Post#61 » by floppymoose » Sat Aug 17, 2013 11:49 pm

the 6 hours part is surprising. so i make the first pick with 2 hours left of my 8. and now i have 6 hours? is the idea that i get my remaining 2 hours plus 4 hours for the second pick?

Sorry, I misread. You'd have 2 hours to make your second pick.

On a different note, after the top 8 picks being identical to my list, the draft just got interesting.

ok, cool, tnx. so the idea is that any number of consecutive picks from the same manager must be made within the same deadline as if they had one pick. bww, let me know if we have this right.

Bww can confirm, but this is how we've always done it. Consecutive picks get the time of one pick

jazzfan, i've got a new bet for you this season, winner get's rights to swap draft picks next season in FFL:

Nets finish with a top2 record in the regular season: you win
else: i win

i'll give you ties on the record if multiple teams are tied for 2nd and the nets are one of them.

Terrible bet for jazz...

Just an FYI...I'm currently moving into a house ( finally no longer renting!) and those jerks at charter have put me on hold for at least 20 minutes until I give up and hang up every time ive called ( I've got other house stuff to do after all...I can't sit on hold all day) . Anyway, I don't have Internet there yet as I'm unable to reach anyone to schedule an install and I'll be painting the next few days. I'll probably be sending lists for 18...

But 23 IS UP FOR GRABS.

If I don't get back to trade offers you'll understand why...also, since I've disclosed this I hope most of you are respectful enough to not get all OCD and Winey about it if I'm not super prompt right away....at least my picks are close to an end so I shouldnt hold things up any worse than any other stragglers. On the bright side...after those jerks at Charter actually answer the phone I won't have Internet issues during draft time for hopefully 30 years.

I know charter outsources a ton....anyone know of some crazy holiday and half their staff has a long weekend?

I work with a company in India, and Thursday was Independence Day for them, but they were back working on Friday.

That would be the day I did most of the calling, crazy.

I think the draft order is wrong, as I should have pick 18
I think insfo and I got switched, but the old thread random . Org run through has me with 18.

Also to whom it may concern... I might be willing to move both 18 and 23 for later picks if I get some decent bumps in the 35-95 range.

It turns out I'll be more active than I thought tomorrow... I just told my wife I'd pay her data charges.

Jazz is almost out of his 8 hr window to make his pick... Sabonis, are you around to pick once his time is officially up?

And I picked in like 5 minutes on my phone after seeing I was up. So, that could explain the quality of my selection.

I'm just going to post this again if any mod wants to edit/fix the draft page when they can.

I have pick 18, not 17.

20 - Skai

I just want to make sure that everyone knows insfo is on the clock at #17, not me.

And because I'm such a nice guy and pointed this out...I should get a reward for having such great sportsmanship 8-) . I propose getting an extra 1st rounder (i'll take pick 41), and everyone else just scoots down one. :D

hummm, will pick in 40-50 minutes probably. Need time to decide. Actually I decided beforehand. It was clear who I was gonna pick if jazzfan didn't get him, but now I'm going back and forth between 2 players. In fact 3 players, eventhough I think one is clearly the one to pick
