A-Rod Could Have Accepted Lighter Penalty

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Mon Aug 19, 2013 1:36 pm

Alex Rodriguez could have accepted a suspension lighter than his 211-game sentence from Major League Baseball, according to sources.

Rodriguez had settlement discussions with baseball, with a 50-game suspension proposed at one point in April. However, Rodriguez wanted to fight the league's findings in the Biogenesis investigation and refused an agreement.

A source denies that Major League Baseball offered a 50-game suspension, claiming Rodriguez pushed for the sentence. Regardless, Rodriguez could have avoided the 211-game suspension he is currently appealing.

"At different points, it could have been way, way less than where it is now," one source said.

When everyone followed the rules basebal sucked. Only thing that made ppl watching it again was ppl taking steroids to crank a ball. Let the man play as much as I hate him. Baseball is to boring of a sport to even have rules. Its his body and everyone else does it. If u see 1k ppl jump from a bridge n see its safe im sure ull jump too. Baseball is to stupid when they make money off big time hitters.
