You guys missed the rebuttal.
Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there wondering, fearing, Doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before;

Dwight can trash talk on twitter all day long after he wins a championship. Until then, he should keep his head down and work on his game and chemistry with new teammates.

I thought Dwight's tweets were hilarious. I'm more than glad to have him in Houston.

Very nice. I know you're doing the starters, but maybe you can get a little Pat Beverly in there.

We don't need another starter. We are going to play 4 on 5.
Harden is still a work-in-progress. He can score, but he can't help his teammate that much - Yao Ming

Ofcourse , we caught the big fish because of lakers unlikeability. This wont happen in most seasons. Im pretty sure if kobe wasn't being a dick to dwight, he wouldve most likely signed in LA.

Oh man, Fran Blinebury is a twat.

B+ grade for the Rockets' offseason
Comparisons:
Nets got an A- for getting 2 old guys.
Knicks got a B for getting the worst player in the league - by choice!
Pacers got an A- for getting Scola.
I'm guessing this has to be an intentional slight aimed squarely at driving pageviews.
Maybe you shouldn't click the link.

FrnCourt - It was a blockbuster summer as soon as the Rockets won the Dwight Howard sweepstakes and reeled in their next franchise player in the middle. - A
BckCourt - James Harden established himself as elite, Jeremy Lin could thrive with less attention and that tough nut Patrick Beverley gives the Rockets an attitude. - B+
Defense - The Rockets added a three-time former Defensive Player of the Year in Howard and will protect the rim, but could still use help out there on the wings. - B-
Bench - Will Omer Asik be happy in backup role? Veterans Marcus Camby, Aaron Brooks and Francisco Garcia will be and they know the ropes. - B
Coaching - For two years Kevin McHale has done his best with a small ball roster. Now he's got his big man and that means the games and the stakes change dramatically. - B

B+
Summary
After years spent chasing a franchise player, the Rockets came up with a pair of them in Harden and Howard in less than nine months and now have vaulted themselves into the conversation for the Western Conference title. If they can learn to develop chemistry, run the pick and roll and leave all the last-minute free throws to Harden, they'll challenge the Spurs and Thunder for the best 1-2 punch in the conference. However, they still need a solid power forward.
Howard craves a big season to put the negatives from last season with the Lakers behind him and the first step will be getting into the practice gym with McHale to work on those fundamentals in the low post. With a roster full of young talent -- Harden, Chandler Parsons, Lin, Beverley -- the Rockets should be contending for a title, if not this season, then very soon.

Posted in entirety to avoid playing little Franny Fran's game.
Special bonus quip:
I'm so bored.

Re: Dwight chooses to sign with Houston
Below is a link showing the summary of the Lakers FT results from practices and games during last season. The data shows the interesting impact of the game psychology on certain players. You can see in particular the impact of the game environment on Howard. If he can learn to reduce the impact of that environment on his FT results its going to be scary!
