he directly says he worked on his 3 ball, which to me implies 3antoni wanted him to work on his 3, which to me is completely (Please Use More Appropriate Word). i could understand asking him to work on his mid range game, but the 3 ball? wtf are u smoking antoni. whatever, his stupidity increases our chances for a good draft pick so i'm cool with it.

Prince + filler for Kobe Bryant
To be honest the way Prince has played and with Kobes injury/age/mileage Im not sure I would do that deal either. Still Prince is more important and he wins the head to head battles with Kobe.

I wonder why the high low game just isn't there for hill and gasol. Like it was with gasol and Odom or gasol and Bynum or gasol and Dwight. I mean he doesn't have to dunk it. Odom didn't dunk it, but pau and Odom were able to interchange roles too tho.

I'm just not a huge fan of Jordan hill though. But I do like his game more than turiaf. Ronny was great for la but his game had little toughness or productivity outside of shotblocking and cheerleading.

Hill should just work on gaining muscle and eventually playing center in the future. That's where his skillset and speed are most natural despite being quicker than pau. Hill hasn't gained a pound since he was drafted ot looks like.

This is just madness. MDA can only run his offensive system and he needs a stretch 4. IDK if the Lakers have any exception money left but if they can they ought to face facts and get a big guy that can shoot.

Unlike Hill, Lavrinovic can knock them down consistently. At 33 he can still play and could be a 1 year rental to keep the wheels on. He fits the system at the 4 spot. Nobody on the roster does right now.

hey, looks like Kobe thinks he should be practicing on his shot too

http://www.insidesocal.com/lakers/2013/ ... -his-game/

The Lakers expect Hill to have a strong role this season, too. But it came with a caveat. Hill said both D’Antoni and Kobe Bryant in separate instances instructed him this offseason to work on his mid-range jumper.

How does Hill prevent his increased outside shooting from diluting the qualities that earned him such a prominent role on the Lakers’ bench in the first place?

“I’m still going to do what I’m going to do,” said Hill, who averaged a career-high 6.7 points and career-high 5.7 rebounds in 15.8 minutes last season through 29 regular-season games. “Provide energy, play defense, rebound. That’s my game. That’s not going to change. I just want to be able to have more options and have something that the team can rely on. It’s all about just trying to expand my game.”

Hill then ticked off a few examples on how that could happen. When D’Antoni tinkers with frontline combinations with Pau Gasol and Chris Kaman. When Steve Nash runs pick-and-rolls and needs more space to elude a defender or a reliable shooter to knock down a basket. When Bryant’s continuously trying to navigate double teams.

im not goona expect an ariza type of 3p improvement but hopefully the longer range practice can expand his midrange game.
