Absolutely. One of the top national teams in the world none the less. We have an extremely efficient 2 way center with killer instinct and work ethic. I've never been as excited about a young Raptor.

Jonas is a flat out bully! His playing style really is relentless. Actually I'm starting to get a bit worried if he should relax just a bit because if he plays so hard all the time he might expose himself to more injuries. Well i guess it's a very good problem to worry about

It's great to see a player like this since a long long time in Raptors uniform. Amir and him form one hell of a tough front court.

I don't think I ever seen a raptor go as hard as him all the time.

I really dislike the way JV pushes people around with his lowered shoulder. Ain't these offensive fouls?
I believe he should create space for himself working with his legs. And these elbows...

He'll expose his opponents to more injuries. I love when he rebounds on just holds the ball high with both hands while swinging his elbows in all directions.

Yeah, he is not great at creating space permissible way. Some of those pushes are offensive fouls. Most physical bigmen cheats the game, so there is nothing new here, but you are right.

His sweeping right hook across the lane is so ridiculously unstoppable.. he either hits or gets fouled on it every single time.. I wonder if you could look at his % on that specific move what it could be. It's also amazing that he's developed a left hand hook shot on a counter spin in seemingly one off season.. you barely saw him finish left hand if ever in the past.. and now he goes to it regularly.. I've seen him hit a bunch of left handed hooks already in both summer league and exhibition play for Eurobasket.

I think advanced stats should start getting into percentages on specific moves, it would be really cool. It would help us understand why certain guys might struggle in some areas maybe because they fade too much or because they aren't as good shooting off a screen as they are just off a catch and shoot, those things would become very interesting (any stat gurus out there know if there is any information for that kind of thing?).

It's thanks to his soft touch and 7'4 wingspan that allows him to finish that move at such a high rate. He's probably been working on that move for a few years now as well. What amazes me is how much he's producing on on 23 minutes of playing time. Man I really would love another young stud to growth and play with Jonas.

Russia's Andrey Vorontsevich got injured and will miss tournament. That team completely fallen apart, Italy should finish ahead of them now.
