And yet he has far fewer game winning/tying shots than any of those other guys on the list.
It's fine to perform well in the last few minutes of a game ... but can you make the game sealing shot?
It's just that we rarely see Lebron game winners. Even with the Finals game 6 it was Ray Allen hitting the clutch 3. In fact, it always seems that someone on Lebron's team goes nuts behind the 3-point line (ex. Battier/Miller).
about to drop knowledge on ya
in playoffs, tying/go ahead shots final 24 sec of 4th/ot since lebron entered in 03-04
lebron 7-17
kobe 5-17 (1-7 before 03 for 6-24 for his 17 yr career)
playoffs, game winning shot in final 10 seconds of 4th/ot career
lebron 5-10
kobe 3-14
and just for perspective, jordan 6-13
in both game 7s and elimination games aka come up big or go home, lebron the leading scorer all time.
kobe in game 7s avgs 22.2 ppg on 38.9% shooting.
going reg season, in this era lebron stands out again along with dirk. you can gain knowledge on that over here viewtopic.php?f=64&t=1248280
so in the current nba, i think the most clutch players are lebron, dirk, cp3
Like seriously there has been a million threads on these the last few months, the elimination game thread, the game 7 thread, game winner threads all of the disproves Kobe being anything but mediocre in "clutch" moments. So I ask, Kobe fans where is the proof. It's not to mean he isn't clutch, he is but there is absolutely nothing that puts him ahead of dirk, lbj and cp3.
