Did you find out where they live so you and you're friends can stop by and laugh at them in December?

I wouldn't mind living somewhere where it snows.

that's what a lot of them say, but what they actually mean is they want like 2 inches of snow for a white christmas and then they want to return to chilly fall weather

not be stuck in a frozen tundra for 5 months

I admit I was very nostalgic for missing the winters being in Houston but I went to Geksburgh for 2 days and it snowed so much that the thought quickly faded away.

What happens there isn't 'snow,' it's the decent of the Norse God of Ice onto the earth for 3 or 4 months...
It's not soft fluffy cheerful snow... It's bitter and hard and makes you fall on your ass a lot.

Snow is always pleasant for 4 hours after it stops. It becomes a driving and walking nightmare after that once it settles into a slush and slate of ice on the roads.

Growing up in CA I did a lot of snow skiing... A lot. And I thought I knew cold. I'd skied Mammoth when it was -40 multiple times...

So I thought going to visit my family in Wisconsin for Christmas would be no problem.

I walked out of the terminal into -10 weather and felt like I got hit by a frozen sledgehammer...
Then we promptly spent the entire 'vacation' stuck inside...

The only people who willingly go outside in the winter in Wisconsin are drunk. I'm pretty sure there are statistics that prove that.

I love the snow whenever I go to Big Bear, Mammoth ext. But to actually live in it I do not think I could handle the cold for that long period of time. Most Californian's have no clue how bad it is.

For any Cali resident to willingly say I would like to live in snow are being completely ignorant. Like Slava said their are many nightmares scenarios that occur with snow. That black ice is no joke.

I like to change it up sometimes an take my son to hoop on outdoor courts. Same thing when we go swimming. I think in the winter time, Southern California might be the only place feasible to do so.

If you asked my family (Native Wisconsinites), they'd agree... Especially the teetotalers...

I got a cousin in law who is from there.
He was in college back in the days when Brett Favre was a Packer.

He said in the earty 2000's Favre was partying hard!
One day he was passing through one of his infamous Wisconsin Badger Frat parties.
Where he joined some of his frat buddies in sniffing some lines of Johnny Walker.
Yup i'll repeat sniffing lines Johnny Walker. :o

I plan to go med school somewhere in the east coast.
I've had interest in Dartmouth and i heard its snows, but I don't think as much as Wisconsin or Minnesota.

Seriously though if I lived in snow 4 outta the 12 months I would get into ice hockey asap.

I can't stay indoors all day it would drive me nuts.

Why would you want to leave for a colder climate?
