Aww quit your belly-aching you two. What's wrong with this league? We're way ahead of schedule so I don't think the pace issues and stuff like that are a huge deal.

Woody is going a little overboard here. The only thing I can see is probably shouldn't have allowed a guy in with no posting history. Oh well maybe he will still be active and do well...

If anyone wants my 3rd round pick (33rd overall), feel free to make an offer.

I agree with CFan and OldNo7 here...let's not rush to conclusions about things here. The "new guy" is an avid NBA fanatic, manages a FANZZ store, gets press passes for the NBA combine in Chicago every summer, blogs for SLCDunk, and has been playing fantasy for 2 decades, I doubt his interest will be waning. He doesn't post here because he has a 50 hour week job, that doesn't mean he's going to be inactive in the league, he's just choosing not to waste his time arguing on these boards (something I should do less of). I know the guy personally and can vouch for him...even if he is an avid JAzz fan.

No. You may keep whichever 5 players you want.

1. I'd assume this is going to be H2H with daily match ups through Yahoo!?
Yes

2. Are playoffs going to be like FFL, which I believe are a week earlier than the Yahoo? Standard.
Yup

3. IF we want this to focus on top-tier talent, maybe do something to prevent wavier-wire fodder from playoff ownage?
I'm not sure I know what you mean.

There are a few options I can think of IF this is something we're interested in:
-Limiting Add/drops (bidding) for FA in the playoffs
-No Playoffs (just straight seeding until the end; The #1 seed is the winner)

Yes, we will limit the number of add/drops allowed during the playoffs. Add that to the dollar limit, and we should be ok.

I just meant sneaky add/ drops can sometimes sway the playoffs. It's usually not a big deal but in a shallow league it will potentially make a difference. Playoff difference makers will be available.

Just a suggestion though. We'll see what happens after year one.

Interesting picks this round. I have to admit, Break is either a genius, or he's taking an unmitigated risk drafting someone like Walker that high.

You may want to check BBM last year rankings, Kemba is ranked 32nd overall on per game and 17th overall on cumulative. And he is still 23 years old with plenty of room to grow. Pretty solid pick IMO.

IMO he's a liability. Horrible FG%, TOs not great and Assists not good enough to justify his TOs.

I had him last year, and I'm just not a believer...so I'm probably biased here. I just think there are several other guys worth picking over him.

Okay, let's let the N00b (me) explain what I'm looking for. The options at small forward who will contribute in every statistical category on a higher than average basis were Batum, Hayward, Leonard, and a few others. Hayward is going to be getting bumped up to at least 36 minutes a game (probably more considering he has no true backup) and during the month he had that many minutes last year he averaged:

19 ppg, 4 rpb, 3.5 apg, 1 spg, 1 bpg all while shooting above 40% from 3. That was with Big Al Jefferson taking touches away from Hayward. He did that all on 12 shots a game. So go ahead. Mock away. But I got one of the best small forwards who actually contributes to a ton of categories like Paul George, LeBron James, and Kevin Durant. He also will be statistically better than Batum and Leonard.

Sorry, y'all. Math is hard sometimes.

Also, the draft started right after I got back from a business trip.

I better get to pick again tonight.

Like with my previous Batum/Rubio decision, again I felt there were a couple of sexy college coeds left out there, but there was just too much value there to pass up on the young-ish guy who was strong across the board.
