LeBron and Ray's 3s and Miller and Bosh's rebounds are what saved that game on those two possessions.

So everything before and after doesn't matter?

Of course it does, but that wasn't the point of their post. The team was dead in the water before those two possessions. Of course you need a full team on the court to win basketball games.

of course they weren't dead in the water. They were those plays from winning - obviously - It just annoys me when people try to say 1 play won a game. A game is a series of plays that wouldn't have happened without the others. If we hadn't scored on an earlier play or if we'd play poor defense on an earlier play then the plays you're talking about could be insignificant ( or probably not even exist).

All this talk about Wade working with Grover again (which is awesome and i hope he gets back to his MV3 level), wouldn't it be wise for Oden to work with Grover as well? He is the one person who can truly have him "better than ever", like Grover says.

It's the sensationalism of the media and fans, just like somehow 10 points in the 4th quarter are worth more than 10 in the first.

Well in reality ten points in the first quarter are worth more than ten points in the fourth quarter but people trust their gut more than math.

Wow, you guys. If you're taking those kind of absolute statements 100% seriously, you should step back from the keyboard a minute. Of course one play didn't win the game on its own, but it occurred at an exceptionally crucial point in a game that seemed virtually unwinnable. "Dead in the water" can't be taken literally. They were all living, breathing human beings, but the probability of winning that game down 5 with that little time left was extremely low.

Well of course it's sensationalized and well deserved. Down 5 with 28 seconds left in an elimination game of the Finals? It was nuts.

The hate?

Well for me its love. Go onto the other forums and it starts smelling like feces and corpses when talk of the Heat arise.

It was also nuts that we were up three with two minutes left to play and managed to go down by five a minute and a half later. Those three turnovers in a row in the closing minutes of an elimination game were pretty nuts as well then. ;)

I don't.. -_- The 3 turnovers occurred prior...which makes everything that happened in those Final 28 seconds ALL the more absurd. Game 6 will be sensationalized for as long as the league is around. Nuts. ;)

Was listening to CBS's basketball podcast with two really good writers, and they were saying Ray's shot is easily in the discussion for best of all time.
