This board has been real negative on Biz since the SL. I was kind of disappointed but we all know the summer league isn't a very good barometer of talent.countryboi wrote:Reddit was way more positive about bismack than even we are...maybe we are too hard on the kid

NBA subreddit is much more pleasant to read than RealGM. people there just enjoy the league in general whereas here its always bickering, everyone is a wanna be statistician etc etc. i enjoy posting on both, bickering here and just good ol laid back posting on reddit.

I'm as high on Biz as ever, dude is filling out big time and although I'd agree that I hope he's not "just" working on his body, I don't see a problem with him getting to proper Center shape and size.
I think the way his body shape has developed points to his age as correct.

I'll give him credit in that if he continues to bulk up like a body builder he very well could turn into Ben Wallace from a physical standpoint. Those biceps are monsterous

Its certainly great that he's working on his strength. But it would have been nice to see all that translate into better performances in the Summer League.

For me it still seems like the game is moving too fast for Biz. It's like his mind is trying to catch up with the game and subsequently, his body is falling behind too. I don't know when it will click for him, but when it does, he could absolutely take off in his defensive game, especially considering our coaching staff.
Mike Malone was never given a fair chance in Sacramento, and Ranadive will soon come to regret that, when he's on top of the WC inevitably contending somewhere

I agree this is where he is struggling. He clearly has the athleticism to be a very good NBA player. However, that can be said for lots of players who are not in the NBA. The difference is whether they have the head for the NBA game.

I know he played in a pro-am the other day, but he needs to be playing in something, anything a few times a week.

Before last season, many Bucks fans were ready to give up on Sanders. Of course, many of them have retracted their negative statements concerning Sanders. Does that mean I think Biyombo will blossom this year like Sanders did last year? Not necessarily. He has two of the four pillars of an excellent bb player...his raw physical abilities and his desire. What he has to do is improve his skills and his knowledge of how to play the game. He's still very young. Hopefully, Jefferson can school him on a lot of things. But I wouldn't give up on him yet. It's still way too early for that.

He hasn't had any kind of real coaching yet. Silas was useless and Dunlap really only helped our backcourt guys get better. Our bigs regressed under Dunlap. I don't see how anyone can give up on him so soon, particularly with a coaching staff that appears more committed to the development of the frontcourt.

I must disagree with you on Silas. He may have been useless during the games, but he has always been known to be an excellent big man coach. He simply did not have enough time with Biz to do much with him. About giving up on him if he doesn't show significant improvement this year I doubt he makes it past draft night as a Bobcat. True he is young, but this is his third year. It is time to show some development. Real talk
