OT: Batman vs. Superman to film in Detroit

Production of the likely titled “Batman vs. Superman” is expected to take place in Toronto, Metro Detroit and other parts of Michigan in early 2014. Director Zack Snyder, according to imdb.com, said the film already is in pre-production. It’s scheduled for release July 17, 2015.

They want a run-down city with old architecture, they have a winner.

Transformers 4 was filming there at one point too. Saves them money when everything already looks blown up. :lol:

Act 1: Metropolis = Toronto
Act 2: Metropolis = Detroit

I dunno, it'll be interesting to see. I suspect most of the filming done here will actually be the Metro Detroit and surrounding areas with Toronto being used more for Metropolis. But who knows.

That's pretty cool. It's good for Detroit.

I've seen a bunch of big movies being filmed in Toronto so far.

That's how I felt, I vowed to never see another Ben Affleck movie after that wanna-be "Departed" bank robber movie. I guess Argo was supposed to be good but I refused to see it. I probably won't rush to see this one until I see some good reviews.

I could be completely wrong because I'm no comic book nerd, but i believe the story is based on an older Batman who is viewed as a vigilantly by the city so Superman is brought in to catch him. And i'm pretty sure batman wins
