So Freiburg sign Darida. I remember him looking good in a game against Barca a few years back.

Vaclav Pilar, another former Plzen player will probably come back in a few weeks, too.
Hopefully, those two work out for Freiburg.

They have quite a talented group of guys again after losing so many players this offseason. Schmid, Ginter and Baumann are the most notable but Sebastian Kerk could be another one of those Streich diamonds.

That club is just so well run, although they will probably get thrown out of the EL very early this season.

Finally we got that worst EL performance monkey off our backs.
At least my Mainzer made it to penalty kicks against Gaz Metan Medias 2 years ago...

Edit: We sign Todor Nedelev. Never heard of him until a few weeks ago but his youtube clips look cool. He won't come until January, though.

In just 18 months, we fired Marco Kurz, Krassimir Balakov and now Foda - and it is not as if Wolfgang Wolf, Milan Sasic or Kjetil Rekdal (UGH) lasted long. "Der Fisch stinkt vom Kopf her" :-?

Nah... der Fisch stinkt aus Hamburg.

I really can't say how happy I am with the way the SC is run. Look at Cologne, Hamburg, Stuttgart and it's striking to see how much potential is being wasted. If these clubs would get their act together, there would be chance for teams like Freiburg, Augsburg and probably Mainz.

It's not that we don't mess up, it's just cleaner and saner than elsewhere. Marcus Sorg was the first time a coach had been released since Finke took over in the early 13th century. After the relationship between Dufner and Streich turned sour, they immediately found a great in-house solution in Hartensaier.

I'm really awaiting the day when somebody signs Lothar Matthäus...

I really hope Schalke can find "their Klopp" huntelaar, Szalai, Draxler, Farfan, Meyer, Goretzka and now KPB could legitimately put them up there as true title contenders next season, with the right coach. If they could get Streich to come over and bring Baumann with him that would really set them up beautiful, add Diekmeier on a free to put Uchida on the bench and the BuLi would have a big three.

Fußballgott Nicolai Müller strikes again. Then we blow it and concede two dumb goals, though.

Still unsure whether the 1-1 was really completely over the line, though.

We need that freaking goal line technology.

I don't know how we lose this game 4-1.

We were dominant in the 2nd half. Ref Guido Winkmann doesn't give an obvious hand penalty (I swear...there is no more obvious penalty call than this). Zimling's ball would've gone into the net like a thunderbolt if it wasn't for Marcelo's hand. No chance Zieler would've kept that ball.

Then at 2-1 we gotta risk something and get more offensive. Hannover has two chances and scores two goals of the week. SMH

Great win for BMG. Rafael's finishing is still costing then goals, but the way he meshes with Herrmann and kruse on the move is really awesome, especially with arrango and Xhaka feeding them.

Also gotta single out tony Jantschke, he's been a very strong defensive FB for them, but this year he's getting forward and contributing a lot with bmg's lopsided attacks.

Yeah. Schmelzer's having an awesome year so far, but when he remembers who he is and starts leaking bad goals again Jantschke will take the mantle of Germany's second best FB if he keeps this up like I think he might, as BMG really rely heavily on their right side to push forward and create because of how slow arrango's become and daems's aging legs on the left.

I was joking because last year he was healthy until the Bayern move happened.

Mkhitaryan has just scored his first goal in the Bundesliga.

Love Dortmund's direct football, such an amazing passing game.

Also Mkhitaryan looks like he has tools to win a ballon D'or one day, he is really special.

Kadlec equalizes for Frankfurt, 1-1. They could have scored earlier but Kadlec refused to pass to a wide open teammate and missed a 2 on 1.
