Jordan never fully understood basketball. He had the lowest basketball IQ of any NBA "superstar" in history.

In order:
A: United, Sociedad
B: Real, Juventus
C: Benfica, PSG
D: Bayern, City
E: Chelsea, Schalke
F: Dortmund, Napoli (unless Arsenal do something in the next 23 hours)
G: Porto, Atleti
H: Barcelona, Milan

Can't wait for the transfer window to close so Madrid can figure out who's playing where and start hitting a more steady rhythm in the domestic competition. Juve is a strong side, and Galatasaray are no push overs. I expect group B and group F, having three relatively strong teams, will produce the best match ups.

Apparently Ribery's won the UEFA Player of the Year award. Well-deserved.

You're underestimating the impact of our new signings. We've got Yaya Sanogo, Mathieu Flamini, and (hopefully) Yossi Benayoun on free transfers! Sanogo and Flamini alone probably make us the favorites to win the Champions League this year and if we get Benayoun it's a done deal.

So, the representatives of group B in Realgm:

Real: luisnani
Juve: Me, (where did the other Juventino go?)
Gala: Massimo :( I'm hoping that he can somehow make a comeback for the group stage

All German teams with manageable groups although Leverkusen are going to have a tough time with Shaktar and sociedad being both very good teams to go with united out of pot 1. Bayer should benefit from getting to sit back and counter against these sides though, rather than having to force the play. Keissling will need to hero up and Leon's gunna have to be on top form in net.

Schalke with a very manageable group, although one they can easily manage to Schalke up. Dortmund and Bayern should definitely advance though.

I'm actually feeling another let down from Citeh, CZKA are crazy fast on the break with Dzagoev, doumbia, Honda and musa, and with the swedes sitting front of their defense and Akinfeev they're very tough to break down as well.

Sociedad at home are a really good team. Madrid and Barca couldn't get a result there last season.

Yeah, any of those three could join united in the knockouts. Hopefully Bayer can sit back and play their game and don't get suckered into running the play like they did in the EL last year. Cause they're tough to break down and deadly on the break.

Congratz Franck Ribery. Well deserved. A jersey suits him better than a suit, though.

Funny that CR7 didn't even think it was worth attending this and rather went to a friendly game against La Coruna.

I thought it was cool of him to dodge that. He was properly embarrassed last time when they gave it to Iniesta and the midget was laughing in his face on stage.

United, Bayer/Sociedad/Shaktar honestly will come down to form at the time, health and luck between those 3 evenly matched teams

Real and Juve, they're a cut above as both could lift the CL and it wouldn't be a shock.

PSG will run away with the group and benfica should take care of business to get second

Bayern and CZKA. CZKA are one of the few Russian powerhouse squads who play well as a team, they are also actually strong in defense with a ridiculously quick front 4 with which to counter. With the swedes and their excellent FBs to protect their CBs and Akinfeev in net they won't concede much at all. And Musa, Doumbia, Dzagoev and Honda are really fast and fluid with space.

Chelsea and I really want to say Basel, but like in their qualifier, ultimately Schalke's firepower will prove just too much for Basel and steau to endure.

Dortmund and Arsenal. Marseille aren't pushovers and Napoli still have some talent around Hamsik, but I trust the fat waiter and Higuain to fail.

Madrid and Porto. Zenit haven't ever recovered from the hulk and Witsel moves. Shatov in and Denisov out will help their team unity but it still won't be enough, probably.

Barca and Milan, although I could see ac **** it up like Schalke might.

Yeah I'd put money on Wenger taking a team past the group stage no matter what teams are around, kind of like a 4th place in the league guarantee.
