Had an achilles injury - I do not see him jumping :dontknow:

I remember all those Elton Brand arguments, so I probably shouldn't even bother, but for the record jumping is not the main issue. Stopping is a bigger issue. When you're moving forward, stopping puts stress on the Achilles. The bigger you are, the more force your Achilles takes. I tried to explain that Brand would suck after his injury, but people were convinced that it didn't matter because he didn't rely on athleticism. Well, that's not the point. You can avoid jumping, to some extent, but you can't avoid stopping. Brand sucked, and so will Zaza. Here's hoping they trade Udoh and Sanders gets hurt, leaving Raduljica and a gimpy Zaza as their only true centers.

That article is garbage from a garbage writer. Even though Rondo is only 27, I definitely think they would consider him to be the PG for their team moving forward with their rebuild.

That writer's logic makes no sense

The most valuable package that the Bucks are likely to put together would require the $8 million salary of Butler to make the numbers work for both sides.

100% false. A better package for the Celtics would have been if he had not traded for Butler and still had $8 mil of cap space that we could use to absorb some of Rondo's incoming salary.

If the Celtics are trading Rondo, they will be 100% in tank mode and if given the choice of paying Caron Butler's salary or not paying Caron Butler's $8 mil salary, most certainly they'd prefer NOT to

So say, our front office didn't have Butler. Would you guys do a Ish and Kvartsov, 2 1st rounders for Rondo? I'm assuming it would have to be a 2014 1st. Maybe you could do something like top 3 protected, but probably not.

Rondo/Ridnour
Mayo/Neal
Delfino/Giannis
Ersan/Henson
Larry/Zaza

How many games does that team win? could it compete with a 2-4 seeded East team?

We'd be elite defensively, that's for sure. Someone mentioned what a Chris Paul could do for our team, and I think Rondo would do well in a situation where he's surrounded by knockdown, spot-up shooters we've assembled here in Milwaukee.

Problem is, we're still in dire need of that alpha scorer. Spacing would be incredible with Ersan, Mayo, Knight, Delfino, maybe Caron, etc. We'd still probably have to over-achieve to get into the fourth seed in the East.

Obviously it would never happen, but it's a stupid trade for both teams. We're still spinning our wheels, and the picks Boston would receive would likely be in the mid 20's if we get to the playoffs and are somewhere in the third-fourth seed.

Not to mention the fact that Rondo is still a question mark coming off his surgery...so we'd probably end up worse than the fourth seed with him missing significant time (if all went perfectly for us). We'd still have a **** ceiling, and we'd still sorely miss an alpha go-to scorer on the wing.

He really was a very good player for a few years there. I'd say of all the over the hill wings we've gotten, Butler probably had the highest peak. But he's also probably the farthest removed from it.

Why does this surprise you? Woelfel talked to Bob Oceipka with the Clips yesterday who told him that Caron was ready to go and that part of Caron's depressed stats were a result of their schemes.

I fully expect Caron to play 31mpg and average 14/6/3 on about a 53% TS if healthy.

I agree Caron will be a positive boost to the team and 25-30 mpg seems more than a reasonable expectation to me.

Just wish we had traded Ersan for scraps instead of going the other direction as usual.
