Re: Brooks butchered Lambs development
I forget where I read it somewhere on bleacher report last week, If he was 6'5 when he was 19 I doubt he is still 6'5 either way who cares.

More like OKC just wasn't willing to deal with the growing pains of playing rookies like every other team and the league and now look at us, were going into the season chasing a championship with only 2 guys that can score the ball. Im not saying Lamb cant score because he can and will, but this is basically going to be his rookie season because Brooks was to stupid to play his LOTTERY PICK. If this was his REAL second season and he had gained VALUABLE experience his rookie season he would be lethal by now. but now we have to wait ANOTHER year to possibly win because lets face it, we didnt win with KD, Russ and Harden we wont win with KD, Russ, and a Lamb with absolutely no NBA experience... Great plan Brooks!
and its time to face it, we couldnt afford to lock up Harden and Lamb is now what we have and we should be happy because he has HUGE potential, I didnt see Olidapo, Waiters, or Mclemore or anyone for that matter have a 32 point summer league game shooting 10-14.
You nailed tit on this post....ON point with it

If by nailed it and on point you actually mean was completely wrong I would agree.
Thunders goal last year was win a title not develop Lamb at the cost of the team.

The two aren't exclusive.
See: Norris Cole.

Why compare a backup PG to a guy who was fighting for situational minutes with Deandre Liggins?

Re: Brooks butchered Lambs development
Dude just give up. Lamb accomplished a lot more against big east teams and was more highly recruited than Reggie Jackson. Lamb dominated in the tournament almost doubling his points per game againts current NBA players while reggie was sitting at home. Comparing them now makes absolutely no sense because Reggie is older and has more experience. and even then Reggie still doesnt stand out as the better player after summer league. This forum is not about whos better today its the future which you apparently cannot comprehend.

Re: Brooks butchered Lambs development
Not once have I compared their college careers..nor do I care to. I also have never spoke of which one was more highly recruited during the draft(that much should be obvious). What I will stand by is Brooks may have slowed down Lambs development, BUT it was for the good of the team (which had championship aspirations) THEREFORE it was a good choice by Brooks.
Again...Lamb will be fine and the Thunder will continue to be contenders.

Re: Brooks butchered Lambs development
I know they will be fine and still compete but they knew Kmart was leaving at the end of the season it wouldn't have hurt to get Lamb those extra minutes here and there so the game can slow down for him thats ALL I was saying.
