Packers/Niners Lead Up

Post#1 » by MickeyDavis » Mon Sep 2, 2013 12:15 pm

Tough opener on the road. They handled us twice last season rather easily. Love to steal this one.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Their without Crabtree & Manningham at WR and CB Culiver -for sure. Possibly others,

Our D will hold them to 24

The game will be decided by what our O can do.
average day for Lacy
average day for Oline
big day for Rodgers, Finley & Cobb!

I feel like this one will be closer but they will still pull out a win.

SF will win. Question is by how much?

Our first team offense hasn't played together this pre-season

Jesus Christ, you'd think this was the Bucks board. I'm not saying it has to be all optimism all the time but my god people, we have a damn good football team.

I think we'll struggle a bit offensively. Timing will be a bit off on the passing routes and the rushing attack will be a hit and miss proposition - a nice run here, a five yard loss there, etc.

But I also think our defense will do a much better job than they did on Kaepernick last time. I expect a couple turnovers.

I think they'll win, but it'll be a lower score affair - 17-14.

I think the Niners have just about every advantage in this game. I don't see how they let this one slip.

....which means the Packers will probably surprise me and get the W. I hope this team has enough pride and plays their hearts out. 0-3 over the last two seasons is not a good look for us.

I disagree. I know they got boldin but their receiving core is suspect. Crabtree is a huge reason why we lost that playoff game. His absence will be felt.

Is it possible for the d to do any worse than last time?

Packers 27, niners 17

Painful to watch but I trust that we'll be a little better prepared. I also believe this whole qbs running wild will come back to earth ala Cam Newton. Just gotta get enough tape on these guys.

Fundamentally games are still won and lost in the trenches, especially when both teams are talented. I think the Pacers d-line can hold their own, but SF will dominate a soft, less then talented o-line. SF will win by double digits.

I'm not calling this one way or another, two great football teams will be squaring off on Sunday. I just find it ridiculous that people are saying that a Packer win is impossible. It's just mindboggling.

I'm allying this a Packer win. I think we have the horses to get pressure up the middle and the strength to hold the edge. On offense, I think Lacy keeps their ILBs from sprinting down the field, leaving seams for Finley and pockets for Cobb.

Look at the original quote. It wasn't "I THINk Sf will win". It was stated as a fact. We are a a great regular season team that will win 70% or more of its games every season when ARod is healthy. Well guess what? Arod is healthy and we have a solid shot at winning. I wouldn't put us as the favorites but no one should be shocked if we pull it off.

Can't see any scenario where our D holds them to 14 points.

This is an L.

I thought Jeremy Ross really swung things in the playoff game. Keep him away from the return game and it'll be a great game!

I think one of the wildcards for this game is going to be Micah Hyde. If he's playing anywhere in the slot he could seriously curb the read option runs.
