Here's a nice little trade I found on the interwebs

To Toronto:
Omer Asik
Terrence Jones

To Golden State:
Kyle Lowry
Aaron Gray

To Houston:
David Lee
Quincy Acy

I really like this one here.

Pretty sure Houston wouldn't be too excited by that. Asik has better value than Lee at the mo.

It's really good for us, but why would Golden State want to take the ball out of Steph Curry's hands and put it in Lowry's? They have a good thing going with Steph being the main ball handler and Klay Thompson running off screens. Lowry would essentially take the Jarret Jack role which is not worth giving up David Lee for.

Rumour had it that Golden State was looking to trade Lee for Bargs, so they're possibly looking to get rid of his salary. Trading Lee and getting an expiring in Lowry and Gray gives them 20 million in capsapce to pry a free agent in 2014.

Yeah I guess. I don't know to be honest, I guess it's plausible and it also gives Houston arguably the best rebounding front court in the league. Maybe...

Here's an idea http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=q7ud8x4

To Toronto: Ersan Ilyasova, Greg Monroe
To Milwaukee: Charlie Villanueva, Rodney Stuckey, Doron Lamb, New York 2016 1st Rounder via Toronto
To Detroit: Rudy Gay, Aaron Afflalo
To Orlando: Caron Butler, Detroit 2016 1st Rounder, Oklahoma City 2014 2nd Rounder via Toronto

My rationale for this went like this: Toronto needed shooting and floor spacing which Ilyasova gives with his high FG% and 3PT% and with Monroe, Valanciunas and Amir we would go from 28th in rebounding to probably top 15 at least. For Milwaukee this depends on whether or not they get tired of being a 8th seed at best and decide to tank, they get 2 expirings, a prospect and a 1st rounder for essentially Ilyasova. Detroit moves Josh Smith to PF, starts Drummond at C, with Rudy at SF and they get a shooter in Afflalo which they desperately need. And Orlando stockpiles more draft picks and an expiring.

I think minny could be a destination for rudy. I think we could get a pick and derrick williams.

John henson and their draft pick would be a total steal.

If the Bucks did that, I'd be laughing. Henson and Val?

Yes please.

Put that on the trade board and see what Bucks fans say though...even though its irrelevant, it'd be entertaining.

They got Butler. Hence, no need for Rudy.

Bucks are $6.6 under the cap, Henson makes $1.9 and Gay makes $17.8.

Which means they'd have to include another $9.3 for this to work.. Looking at their contracts, I think we'd need a 3rd team to make this work.

Bucks fan here interested in what Toronto would want for Gay. I think if Hammond traded Henson for Gay that most posters on the Bucks board would riot and burn down the Bradley Center.

Maybe you guys could get a good young player or a 1st round pick for Gay. I just hope it is not the Bucks that bite on that deal.

What sort of deal would you think is fair?

You asked so something that I would feel OK about the Bucks doing is

Bucks Trade: Udoh, Butler, 2014 2nd round pick
Bucks receive: Gay

Raptors trade: Gay
Raptors receive: Butler, 9+m TPE, 2014 2nd round pick

Warriors trade: TPE
Warriors receive: Udoh

This would of course have to happen after November 1st or 60 days after the previous Butler trade. Udoh might have to be traded to the Raptors first then rerouted to the Warriors. I am not certain of the trade rules on this.

The Raptors do it to set a real direction and save nearly $10 million in real money this year. plus they could probably buy out Butler for half his contract saving up to $13 million this year. They would also have a TPE to do something with.

Just an idea.

I thought you weren't allowed to include a TPE in a deal with a player. Either way, it's not a horrible idea but Masai already said he won't just give Rudy away which we would essentially be doing here.

I'd prefer something like this:

Bucks Trade: Caron Butler, Ersan Ilyasova
Bucks Receive: Rudy Gay

Raptors Trade: Rudy Gay
Raptors Receive: Charlie Villanueva, Rodney Stuckey, Future 1st Round Pick (from DET)

Pistons Trade: Charlie Villanueva, Rodney Stuckey, Future 1st Round Pick
Pistons Receive: Caron Butler, Ersan Ilyasova

Yeah that is not happening. I think Ilyasova is the better player on the better contract. If the Bucks gave him up in a Rudy Gay trade, I think Toronto would be extremely foolish to give him away. And Honestly you get quite a bit less in that trade than in the one I proposed. Pure cap space and instant savings is worth much more than a pick from Detroit 3 years down the road.

Actually, a first round pick and 2 expirings are worth more than a 2nd round pick and expirings. The problem is you want to get Rudy for a bag of chips so take that garbage back where it belongs on the Bucks board.

Yeah I was probably pretty harsh. Your trade does look better on the surface especially if you figure them as only expiring's. You really need to figure in pure savings. With your trade you are still paying $17+ million this year in salary. With my trade you are paying $8 million before a Caron's buyout. $9 million has value. With your trade the earliest you will get a pick is 2016. With my trade you get a pick next draft. Also you could probably flip the TPE's for a decent player if you wanted.

Like I said though I figured you wouldn't like the trade I proposed.
