We need more guys like them in baseball, in my opinion. They remind me of guys like Pete Rose and Griff (granted I wasn't alive to see Rose actually play), who always hustled and always seemed to have fun.

I'm a huge Bryce Harper fan, but there's a different level of arrogance between him and Puig. I find Puig to be intolerable in almost every sense, on and off the field.

ur reaching now.
i understand because ur a Giants fan and the only Dodger they respect, if any at all, is Kershaw. I still like Matt Cain and Posey...but I hate Pablo, Scutaro, Pagan and Pence...they annoy the crap outta me.

Just when I thought I was out, the Nats start to pull me back in...

Still 7 GB is a big margin to overcome with only ~30 games to play, but we do have the easiest schedule remaining.

The Nats will need a timely 8-10 game winning streak, and extend that into something like a 17-5 run or better just to become a factor again

Yep. We're in the middle of a hot streak right now, but gotta keep it going.

Problem is the Reds are a good team and I don't see them totally collapsing. They could basically play .500 ball and still hang on to the 2nd Wild Card spot.

Jayson Werth has the highest OPS in the NL and 2nd highest in MLB(behind Miggy Cabrera)since the All-Star break.

Finally living up to that contract?

Wow, no talk about the Pirates stealing Justin Morneau?

If he can wake up the offense, the Pirates could be sneaky good in October.

Matthew Pouliot ‏@matthewpouliot 11m
2012 Strasburg: 62 R, 15 HR, 197/48 K/BB in 159 1/3 IP -- 15 wins
2013 Strasburg: 62 R, 15 HR, 174/50 K/BB in 164 1/3 IP -- 6 win

Unluckiest season ever. Guy never gets any run support. Such a joke.

The Dodgers need to go 17-7 the rest of the way to win 100 games.

WOW!
will be tough with all these division opponents giving us their best shot coming up.

It'd be quite the recovery if they were to win 100 games. Two months ago they were hardly in anyone's playoff conversation and now they have a shot at finishing with the best record in the league.

Craziness.

The Yanks leapfrogged the Orioles last night and only sit 2 1/2 back of the Rays for 2nd in the division and the wild card. With all the ups and downs this year, I'd love for just one shot at the Sawx in the ALDS and they might be able to make that happen.

Nats still alive, but barely. We've always struggled in Philly, so great to win 2 of 3 there. 6.5 back of Cincy, need the Dodgers to go in and sweep them and help us out. Those two games we lost at home to the Mets last weekend is looking killer right now...
