Beasley should go to Spurs

Post#1 » by teven_1 » Wed Sep 4, 2013 1:24 am

hear me out.
Beasley could make a solid instant offense guy off the Spurs bench. It's a gamble but if anyone can get Beaz on the right track its Popp.

I'm not suggesting he'll reach the potential anyone thought he had in 2008. I'm saying maybe (MAYBE) he could be a solid bench guy on a team as solid as the Spurs.

IMO, I don't think the Spurs want/need the distraction.

With that said, if the Spurs sat down and talked with him and they legitimately thought he was sincere about changing his attitude I would be ok with it. I trust any decision Pop makes at this point. He has earned it.

I actually think they are discussing this seriously. Somebody has to replace Jackson.... low risk.

Not gonna happen. We have a habit of staying far away from head cases like Beasley.
