I don't get all the hate, even with D'Antoni crazy system and the chaos the Lakers were, Jamison produces on offense quite nicely, obviously the guy doesnt play D, but who cares? he can get in for 15min and score for you, stretch the floor, and he's a good pro and locker room presence to have.
The last guy this team needs is Ivan Johnson, but probably is a longshot.
We need defense and we need toughness.

Clipper House Get A Rating
Ben Golliver, Sports Illustrated (8/31/13)
Offseason Grades: Los Angeles Clippers
It’s rare that a team fails to address arguably its biggest bugaboo and still manages to put together a superb summer, but that’s the Clippers’ story.
Center DeAndre Jordan is the leaky roof, the deal-breaker that shows up upon close inspection of the Clippers, the fault that makes it difficult to buy their status as true title contenders. This summer, the Clippers not only didn’t get their roof replaced, but they halfheartedly tried to patch things up (again) with the likes of Hollins and Mullens. That approach didn’t work last year, and it’s not likely to work this year. Presumably the Clippers understand that and simply couldn’t locate any better, cheap options to use next to All-Star power forward Blake Griffin.
The twist: L.A. remodeled its kitchen, installed a pool in the backyard, put in an entertainment center in the basement, added a new coat of exterior paint, redid all the bathrooms and, well, you get the point. The roster and organizational upgrades abound, and the totality of those moves ensures that the takeaway reaction to this summer is, “Wow! Look at this place!” rather than, “Why is there water dripping on my head?”

Re: Official Offseason Discussion
CBS Eye on Basketball podcast reviewed our off season yesterday.
I expected lower than the B+ from Grizzlies fan Matt Moore (@hpbasketball) but he and Zach Harper were pretty positive; quite a bit of talk on Griffin's improvement through last season too.
If you don't already, its a good subscribe, entertaining and informative

having second thoughts about the Clips and not trading up in the draft to get Allen Crabbe

Can you explain your thoughts in a bit more detail?
I'm really loving Bullock. Does having Bullock over Crabbe make a difference to our season? IMO absolutely not. However I think Bullock is a great position to learn from our abundance of quality guards. Also he will never be thrown in the deep end as he will hardly play important minutes so he can grow at his own place.

Re: Official Offseason Discussion
Allen Crabbe is a very streaky shooter who can get hot and cold. He's not like Jamal Crawford since he doesn't possess the 4-point play special ability, but he can get tempered very easily a la J.R. Smith. I read a report that Crabbe wanted nothing to do with the Clippers before the NBA Draft.
I'm very glad the Clips picked Bullock. Mr.-Knows-His-Role-Very-Well, a 3-point shooter and wing defender with a lot of valuable intangibles. He may very well become our defensive specialist since the Clippers lack true defenders save for Chris Paul and Matt Barnes. Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan are a work in progress, our bigs can't play defense, and the way Doc Rivers plans to implement his strategy is still a mystery. Unlike many rookies who get little to no playing time (because that's the nature of the NBA, I guess), I think we will see him used in situations where small ball is required. In year's time, he could become the next Ron Artest. Right now, he's a very handy Danny Green 2.0.
I can't wait to do my prevention stats on Bullock. I've given him a nickname too: 3-D Harvey Bullock, as an ode to the detective from the Batman series.

Re: Official Offseason Discussion
i wanted them both.
long tall wing players.
i dont want him over bullock. i wanted to trade back into the 2nd round and draft him after drafting bullock.
we probably wouldn't have had a need for Barnes but we could have given Carl Landry the full mid-level

I think the world of Matt Barnes however I also think the team could have benefited more by giving more minutes to Bullock and using the money for barnes/jamison on a quality big.
