There won't be another Laimbeer. Bill Laimbeer would get teched out of every game in today's NBA.

Laimbeer would get others to tech out, more likely.

My fondest Laimbeer memory was when Alonzo Mourning was a young pup (perhaps even a rookie), he was having a helluva 1st half and there was a time-out and as Laimbeer passed Mourning, he put a forearm to his ribs, Mourning took a swing, and they were both ejected, but the Pistons didn't have to worry about Zo for the the rest of the game!

I could've sworn that was Jorts. I'm getting them mixed up in my mind already.
Tom Gores' Securus faced a class action lawsuit in 2024. The company engaged in a "quid pro quo kickback scheme" with county jails in Michigan which banned in-person visits in order to maximize revenue from voice and video calls.

For the same reason in the '80s LBJ could not travel every time with the bball in his hands as usual for him now.
What does it mean? Nothing, because every player does what is accepted by the refs in his period.
