Hedo Turkoglu has not played a single second and Turkey is up 12 against Sweden.

Omri Casspi has played 7 minutes and 27 seconds and Israel is up 26 against Belgium.

Both teams lost every game in which their "stars" received heavy PT. I think that I know why they're winning now :P

Bosna and Herzegovina also started winning when Teletovic stoped playing iso-hero ball....

been a good tourney so far. Been a few surprises. No real predictable results all the time.

Bojan Bogdanovic really should be playing in the NBA!
What a player!!
A great win for Croatia against the host Slovenia in the overtime. 76-74

Didn't watch the Turkey game... did the players look like they played with more energy? Wonder if they were sending a big F U to the Michael Jordan of Turkey or were genuinely interested in the game. I would assume the later and Sweden is a team that is easy to look good against.

In Israel vs. Belgium, a blowout isn't surprising against two lower tier opponents. Essentially takes one hot shooting streak to stretch those games.

Spain and Greece remain the top teams. Then France, Lithuania Serbia and Slovenia can do damage... but they also can choke against a bad team. An upset is actually probable for the latter teams (losing to teams such as Latvia, Ukraine, Finland in an important game) and I expect Spain or Greece to win it all.

You just forgot the only undefeated team in Eurobasket so far... all right, we play better as underdogs...

You're right... fine let's add Italy as another contender that can also lose to anyone.

Also, Croatia vs. Czech Rep will be a must watch tomorrow... winner gets 3rd seed in their group. +/- wouldn't matter as Czech is -6 and Croatia is -18. Whoever wins goes to the second round.

In group A will be interesting if Belgium or Great Britain advance. Problem for Belgium is that they will have to beat France and if so the +/- will still have to be taken into account. GB plays Ukraine.

In Group B the +/- will matter for Latvia and Bosnia & Herzegovina. Both play tough teams, Latvia vs. Serbia and Bosnia vs. Lithuania

GB win tomorrow vs Ukraine and they progress to the next round. How about that? This is the team that is missing it's 2 NBA players as well as Pops Mensau Bonsu (ex NBA) plus a couple of their best veteran overseas pros who played in the Olympics, where they struggled.

Got some really young guys stepping up.

Lots of good, nail-biting games. Did not expect this. Lack of some major superstars strengthened the parity between countries.

Yeah, that was the reason. All of today's game had this moment of silence.

Thanks. Another tragedy that was caused by an old fart behind the wheel.

Most of the big stars may have been missing, but the new format with the 24 teams made this a very exciting tournament so far. Only Italy remains undefeated after 4 games.

Latvia won Macedonia 76:66 and advances to the next round! Great day for Latvian fans - this is a very young team (last year with similar roster 0 wins in 5 games) without few key players (most notably Davis Bertans - drafted by Spurs and obviously Andris Biedrins GSW/Jazz) and it is nice to see them finally playing good basketball and surviving in very tough group (4 Balkan teams + Lithuania).
