Reggie Bush would be so nice in this offense. Boy how stupid are we for letting him go.

Re: OT: Miami Football!
The O-line was a bigger problem than the running back play. Miller had to make guys miss just to get to the line of scrimmage every play.
IMO letting Long go and not replacing him was the biggest mistake. By moving Martin over we are now worse at both tackle spots.

Promising but still a lot of question marks, basically the usual. Exciting for football, but reserved about any expectations for fins.

Huge huge win for the Hurricanes on Saturday, loved how loud SLS got for it. Miami fans really showed up. First major win for the program during the Golden era, offense still needs work but the defense was amazing. Dolphins game was ehh ya they won but their run game is pathetic and Wallace and Tannehill really need to figure each other out semed to be on completely different pages the whole game.

NEG
- Our running game is abysmal (albeit against a good run D in Browns).
- Our O-Line is just as bad, whether its protecting the QB or run protection
- Tannehill needs to get more in-sync with Wallace. We can't spend that much money on him for him just being a damn decoy/
- Tannehill needs to work more on his pocket awareness; he's improved since last season but he is still going inside the pocket just asking for a sack, instead of rolling out and evading.
POS
- Tannehill, despite the horrible run game and O-line, showed great composure and make some really good throws in succession.
- Our Defense was stupendous; especially our front 7. Grimes is super legit and I'm really happy Marshall got a couple of picks; he's been injured for way too long.
- Cameron Wake might just get DPOTY this year.
- Brian "F***in'" Hartline aka The Great White Hope was a f***in' beast tonight (really helped my fantasy team lol). If Wallace keeps doing his decoy routine, Hartline is going to feast.
- Caleb Sturgis > Dan Carpenter (yea, I said it)

Re: OT: Miami Football!
I really want to see videos of Tannehill as a receiver in Texas A&M. I'll have to see it to believe it because in the pocket he's a statue, and when he does scramble he is moving in slow motion. For a guy as athletic as he is, Aaron Rodgers moves much faster around the pocket and between the tackles.

Dolphins had way too many issues for me to be happy about their win really. Then you have Wallace coming out already saying hes upset? Its still a young season and as Dolphin fans we all know this can get ugly quick.

Re: OT: Miami Football!
Positive:
- I thought Tannehill looked really sharp in the second half. He threw the ball 38 times and looked rather comfortable doing it. Sherman is really showing confidence in him, and he's making good reads.
- The defense is tits. The line got good pressure all day. The secondary was aggressive. We have some ballhawks on this team. I love it.
- Sturgis is a great pick. He's got a howitzer for a leg, and kicks it true. You can't ask for more than that.
- Coaching did a great job abandoning the run early. For all his flakeyness on Hard Knocks, the guy is decisive on the field. He makes aggressive decisions and isn't afraid to take chances. I'm very pleased with the staff we have.
- For all his complaining, Wallace did his job of spacing the field and getting guys like Gibson, Clay and Hartline room to operate. We're going to hit some homeruns this year.
Negatives:
- The running game is terribad. Cleveland has a great defensive line, but the running game was also falling short of its own accord. It's really the line's fault. It didn't matter which side we ran to, the whole line was pretty poor at opening holes. Miller and DT aren't good enough to earn those consistent yards. They're there to serve as check downs and to provide chunk yardage via good blocking.
- Pass protection could use some work. The left side of the line seems solid enough. I have no quarrel with Martin. However, Jerry is still injured, because he's playing like crap. Tannehill needs just a little more time and he'll be able to hit the longball.
- Speaking of which, Tanny's arm looks more like a shotgun than a rifle right now. Good strength and his release is quick enough. He throws it accurately around the 15, but crank the power up a bit and it's all kinds of wobbly. He both overthrew and underthrew Wallace yesterday. It's the one thing I was still iffy on him about, and it looks like he's still shaky there. It's not the end of the world. He'll hopefully get better at it.
---
The offense looked better after we abandoned the run. I don't know if Philbin is going to do it next game, but maybe we need to approach the game as a passing offense. I think it's time to take the training wheels off Tannehill and let him spray it around. Then again, it's not my job on the line.
I like how we looked. We didn't look in sync offensive in the first half, but I thought we turned it on in the second half. We were a second half team last year, so I always have confidence we'll adjust.

Re: OT: Miami Football!
Go CANES!!!!
I go to FIU but their football team is miserable apart from that year when they won the little Caesars bowl (we had ty hilton though)
as for the dolphins. i loved that win on sunday. browns are as evenly matched as a team we couldve hoped for. we both have 2nd year qbs, shaky offensive lines (albeit they have probably the best LT in football). very strong d-lines and LBers. browns have better running backs and corners/ we have better receivers and safeties.
our o-line doesnt worry me too much because we were up against a top tier defensive front 7. our d-line caused a lot more havoc than theirs. i think tanny and wallace are gonna shape up this week. wallace was blanketed by haden. hadens been locking him up for the past 2 seasons so it doesnt come to me as a surprise that he got shut down, what i like is that ryan realized his other guys would be open and didnt force the issue

Re: OT: Miami Football!
I honestly don't have a favorite college football team, probably because I never went to a major college before. I do root for the Hurricanes sometimes but honestly, I just look for match ups on Saturdays. I don't care who's facing who I just look for their ranking/program and if it looks like it will be a competitive game then I watch it. I'm not going to watch games like Ohio State vs some **** program cause 9 times out of 10 it is a blowout and waste of time.

I generally agree with this, but I don't think Tannehill is quite ready to make the running game an after thought (ala Rodgers, Manning, Brady, et al.). I actually think a better run game will help improve the passing game, by opening play action and generally preventing the defense from loading up one way or another.

If The U plays right and keeps up this intensity and heads up to Trailerhassee undefeated that is going to be one epic show down, it will be what the ACC has been wanting from those 2 since Miami joined the conference.

Re: OT: Miami Football!
Canes fans are gonna be disappointed by season's end. They're not as good as we made them look. I'm a Gators fan, and while the loss stung, I knew it was a possibility. Our defense is great, but our offense is dreadful. That was an ugly game to watch. Canes have an easy schedule, but the little resistance they run up against is enough to derail even their ACCCG hopes. As for the Gators, these Muschamp years have been as depressing as the Zook years. "No one suffers winning like Gator fans." Winning isn't enough. We need to challenge for the SEC Championship every year. That was the tradition under Spurrier and under Urban.

UM: The Canes have what it takes to run table till FSU and even if they lose, they could go to ACC title vs. Clemson. The O needs to get it together, way to much talent for Miami not to be putting up more points.
Dolphins: Cant wait to see Luck vs. Tannehill.

Ryan Tannehill looks great early in this year. Has the offense heading in the right direction. Mike Wallace & Lamar Miller are FAST!
