Jamaica 1-1 Costa Rica
USA 2-0 Mexico
Honduras 2-2 Panama

Bolivia 1-1 Ecuador
Uruguay 2-0 Colombia
Venezuela 3-2 Peru
Paraguay 1-4 Argentina

USA, Costa Rica have qualified for the 2014 World Cup. Honduras still holds onto the last automatic spot, while Panama overtakes Mexico for 4th place playoff spot on goals scored. Jamaica can only qualify via playoff.

Argentina has qualified for the 2014 World Cup. Colombia(2nd) and Chile(3rd) can finish no worse than 5th place playoff spot, Ecuador holds onto 4th over Uruguay on goal differential. Venezuela(6th) can only qualify for the playoff. Peru, Bolivia, and Paraguay are eliminated from the World Cup.

It would be terrible to not have Mexico in the world cup.

It will all come down to the Mexico-Panama game on October 11th. The October 15th games are pretty much easy wins for both teams, since the US and Costa Rica have safely qualified and will likely be auditioning for spots on the bench at the WC.

I'm assuming Honduras gets points from either the Oct 11 game against Costa Rica or the Oct 15 against Jamaica...so one of Mexico or Panama is gonna be eliminated unless they invent a way for both teams to win a head-to-head matchup.

Rumor has it that Mexico has hired Victor Manuel Vucetich, the former Monterrey coach, as the new manager for the National team.

Next step is to find a way to Vela to commit to the team.

I think Mexico draws both games and will have their fate in the U.S. hands @ Panama City. Maybe they win both games but it's really hard to see it at this point. I'll be interested to see who plays in the last 2 matches for the U.S., the depth of the squad has definitely improved over the last couple of years that we'll likely be very competitive @ Panama.

That could be the case. Drawing results has been the common theme for Mexico.

But if they manage to call up Carlos Vela, Jonas dos Santos and Ochoa for last 2 remaining games, I think they have an excellent shot at clinching a playoff against NZ imo.

Ecuador vs Uruguay will be a huge game as they are currently 4th and 5th on the table. Winner pretty much seals the deal. The Colombia vs Chile game should be very exciting too.

I am very interested to see what happens with Mexico. I can't imagine a WC without the Orales

Doesn't really matter who will finish 5th,just for avoiding another 2 official games (but in that period, the team that will qualify directly will probably play some friendlies anyway)...

Both teams will make it eventually

Yeah, but it is better safe than sorry. Can't ever take it for granted that th 5th seed will advance. But yeah, I fully expect the 5th seed to advance. Neither team is out of Venezuela's reach, so they will both try to play their best.

Zuniga is injured and freaking Pekerman wants to start Medina again to replace him, even after he was utterly and painfully gang raped by Uruguay on our last game. I would much rather play Cuadrado at RB than this kid again.

Word is that Medina's agent is none other than Pekerman's brother. Hmmm, that doesn't smell fishy at all.

Mexico-Panama tonight is going to be a big game. The thought of Mexico possibly missing the WC is staggering, but it's possible if they lose tonight.

Thanks bro. It's been a long 16 years. So happy right now, but I have to be realistic. We are not going to achieve anything under this coaching staff. They worship Pekerman in Colombia because we are in Brazil, but it was expected with the talent we currently have. We came out flat and unprepared and his choice to play Medina again cost us dearly. We shouldn't be down 3-0 at the half at home. Then he makes changes and people give him credit for the changes, but I won't give him credit since he should have started those guys anyways.

Anyways, I am really happy. Last time we were in the world cup I was a child, hope we can do well and represent the country well. Hopefully we keep that head of group spot lol, we will need it.

Gonna drink away now lol.
