Winning game 4 west conf finals 2002 being 20 points down in first quarter. Sac was steamrolling through us and had us figured out as they won two games in a row consecutive and looked like they were going to win this one as well. We inched up closer and closer but I had a dreadful feeling we were going to lose anyways and before that last possession I had a bad feeling we were just going to muck it up and we did.... Until big shot rob!
Unbelievable game. First game of mine for lakers in memory where I was drenched in sweat and the whole house exploded. Was like a Hollywood action movie game. Wherever I went , work, church, store , people talking about it for days afterwards.
Beating San Antonio 2004 playoffs w Derek fisher last sec shot. For some strange reason during time out I felt like "we have this". After the shot I recall others also felt they strangely knew we would still win the game.
Beating Portland game 7 2000 west finals. Portland had a beefy team. They were up 15 pts fourth qt. this was beginning of the greatness and magic of the Phil/shaq/Kobe era. If we let that game go to Portland what would have been? Shaq and Kobe maybe don't get as many rings? They don't have the lore as they do today? Phil only known as a bulls winning coach legacy? Portland becomes a perennial championship contender?
Kobe 81 pt game. Thing is... He could have gotten a lot more!! Re watch the game. He could have scored at least 95 pts. This game cemented into me (after seeing his legendary run of fifty plus point games and such, that Kobe has now entered Nba Legends status. Before that I just saw him as a hall of game all star who won three championships.
Beating game 7 Boston 2010. Kobe our Beloved struggled. As all legends do once in awhile. But their teammates ... Teammates got his back.
Ron artest was an enemy on the court against Kobe. But when Kobe was sullen in the locker room after losing to Boston in 2008, a surprising show by Ron, he encouraged Kobe and said if you put me on your team I promise to help you win a championship.
2010. Down 15 pts game 7 v Boston. All teammates rebounded hard and got each other backs.
But the most pressing memory was
When Ron made the key steals and three point shots at the end. And then he blew kisses to the crowd.
I will always remember that. It hits me at a very tender spot in my heart.
That is why I will always be a Ron artest/ MWP fan. I love him.
Many other stories I can list fifty or so great memories. This is why laker basketball for me is so powerfully magical in my life. At various times I has issues I was going through and still sometimes do.. Financial , relationships , work, emotional, spiritual etc
Watching Kobe struggle and win and fight and lose and scratch and win and claw and lose and so forth...
Encourages me to do the same in my own capacity.

The Lakers are all about championships...so I'm keeping my moments to the Western Conference Finals and NBA Finals...
1. Junior Junior Skyhook.
2. Sampson's Shot - that was surreal.
3. Worthy's triple double in game 7 of the '88 Finals that allowed the Lakers to become the first repeat champions in 19 years.
4. Robert Horry taking down Sacramento.
5. The Kobe - Shaq alley oop that started a dynasty.

1. Game 7 2010, was in basic training at the time, had to beg my MTI to put the game on, sacrificed for the greater good and paid him with 300 pushups to get it on, got to catch the final 4 or so minutes.
2. 81
3. Kobe/Shaq alley oop
4. The Horry 3 vs the Kings
5. The "Free Throw" last season
