The article is being written in the context of the Lakers saying they will work the 2014 free agency market. The 2 big names of that class are Melo and Lebron. It seems highly topical.

When Abbott isnt writing about Kobe , he becomes irrelevant. So what does he do again to attract viewers write another anti-Kobe article about the same exact thing he did the last time.

Lamar Odom left Kobe and became a crack addict.
Bynum left Kobe and became two-face.
Sessions left Kobe and became a Bobcat.

I really think the notion that NBA players are not enthused about playing with Kobe is much over-exaggerated.
Those who really want to win, will play with Kobe. Nash came to play with him. Metta came to LA. Shaq and Pau are a couple of more names that come to mind.
He may not be easiest going guy in the league, but no one can question his drive to win, and everyone knows that with Kobe, you will always have a chance to win.
The Lakers may very well have a tough time attracting LeBron and Melo in 2014, but using Kobe-bashing as a method to make the point, just makes the argument that much weaker.
I think if LeBron doesn't end up playing for LA, it will be more because he plays in a state with no state income tax.
Additionally, these players know that their legacy will be based on the number of rings that they win.
LeBron is trying to catch up to Kobe and MJ etc....He wants to have more rings than Kobe, and playing with him and winning rings, doesn't allow him to catch up to him.

I think Carmelo might have a problem with it (Kobe) but not LeBron. LeBron went to play in Miami with a peak Wade and Bosh. Anthony had a mini breakdown when Lin got a little run and he wasnt getting the attention or the ball.

Upon reflection, this is an idiotic article that uses false-hoods and half-truth to stir up readers...
And it's a disingenuous thread-title because there are lots of players who have said they would love to play with Kobe.
Ultimately, I think the only people interested in this thread are serial trolls... And Kblo...
