By not posting silly comments comparing players' 3 pt shooting ability based all on percentages, and regular season percentages at that. smh.. What's next, are you going to tell me Ryan Anderson is a better 3 pt shooter than Dirk Nowitzki? Or Kyle Korver is a better 3 pt shooter than Chauncey?

I'm not surprised you only have 3 "and one's", and I'm not entertaining this silly topic anymore.

Please persuade me that Sheed is a better 3 point shooter when compared to Anderson. You dont have to use stats... As long as its a good argument.

I will give you an 'and 1' if its a half-way decent argument. But im probably sure you dont need my 'and 1' as your other account is sufficient in dispersing them.

It's probably best to take this stuff with a grain of salt. I agree, 4 - 5% body fat for an active athlete (not a body builder) would be unhealthy. However, I think the Pistons getting Rasheed to coach our bigs was a great move. Clearly, Drummond has been working hard in the off season and that's about all you can ask. Soon we'll be able to talk about what we're seeing instead of all this speculation.

So should we take his weight numbers reported in this article with a grain of salt as well?

Wow, I could hardly imagine a more innocuous post than my original!? As to your question, I'd put more faith in the weight reported than body fat percentages. Why, because other than scale variance, a pound is a pound. There are a number of ways to measure body fat and they can vary in their results. I guess my main point was that clearly Andre is working hard and appears to have improved his conditioning. Further, he is in a program of skill development. Seems like all is well on that front. Is there something about the expression "grain of salt" that offends you? Do you have high blood pressure?

I wasnt being offensive at all. I just tried to use the same language in your last post. Maybe I should have replaced, "with a grain of salt" with "seriously" instead?

After reading the article again I noticed something a little off....

There is no way Drummond's body fat is 4-5 percent! Sorry, thats impossible from looking at his body.

IF they are lying about that, how can we trust the authors with his weight numbers?

Because he has big bones?

He was measured at 7.5% at the combine which is really damn good as is. But likely hes displaced some fat with muscle since then.

THanks for the info! For real though, I dont know whats wrong with how they measure body fat at the combine. These percentages I just pulled up on others go against everything I have learned about how the body stores fat. Seriously George Hill at 3 percent? How is this man even alive?

This is my logic as well. Anderson is a good 3-point shooter, maybe better than Rasheed. But, Anderson received those attempts as a 'bail out' option when the defense collapsed. For most of Sheed's career he was the first or second option, and rarely had the luxury of standing in a corner all alone.

Regardless of that opinion, Wallace was a world apart superior player to Anderson. Wallace could score anywhere on the court, he could post-up, hit mid-range jumpers and be a lock down defender on the other end.

Anderson's shots are all of the wide open, bail-out variety, no. You don't lead the league in 3pt attempts and shoot a very good percentage without defenses keying on you to some extent. Everyone knows how good of a shooter Anderson is, and he still gets it done.

To a point, with the allowance of zone, its led to degradation of low post game. It's still viable, but easier to bring help and clog the paint. A solid jump shot would serve him better than a hook shot, but he should develop both.
