Chris Davis hit his 50th home run on Friday night, tying a Baltimore Orioles record for home runs in a season.
He is the first player to reach the plateau in the Major Leagues since Jose Bautista did so in 2010.
Davis also became just the third player ever to hit 50 home runs and 40 doubles in a season, joining Babe Ruth (1921) and Albert Belle (1995).
