The first part of the interview mainly talks about his new shoes. He starts talking basketball around the 5:33 mark. He mentions players that he has worked with in the past, and a couple of players that would benefit the most from working with him.

He's always trying to get Blake to work with him, lol.

He's right about Durant though, the post is the next step for him. With his height and length he needs to be there. The Memphis series offensively for OKC would have been a lot different if he was attacking and creating out of the post as opposed to on the pick and roll. Doesn't mean against a different team, going outside isn't the better choice, but if you can be effective in multiple ways, it is always good.

It is interesting what he says about big men because people are always complaining. He says that having so may talented big men like when he first came in the league and later with Shaq, Alonzo, Ewing (also Robinson who he forgets to mention) is not the norm in the league from his view.

He explains it as sort of an outlier, and says the norm is really there being just a few really good big men. Interesting thoughts.

Think the Robinson omission was intentional?

I was a huge fan of the Dream back when he was playing, so I totally get excited watching him work with active players. Many of the past players criticize (often times it is destructive) current players for their shortcomings. Olajuwon gives constructive criticisms and makes himself available to help players if they desire his $ervice$. I totally respect that. Instead of being some old fogey that complains about the game not being as good/tough/skilled as it once was, why not reach out to the younger generation and impart some of your wisdom?

Yea, it is a great contrast to Shaq though he's said he will help Cousins. Shaq seems to do things with an agenda though, but he's always hating. I really like dreams approach, it is great.

I might buy a pair of his shoes if the price is right and they fit me properly.

I don't understand why Blake wouldn't take this opportunity?

Time, matching schedules, it just hasn't worked out whether it be injury, lockout, timing not working out. Maybe next off-season.

i dont understand Blake's excuse THIS offseason for not working with him.

well wait...maybe he felt with the new coaching staff coming in he wanted to focus on giving his ear to those guys before training camp and nailing his jumper down so he can score out of the offense...and maybe he just wanted to go after it next offseason.

who knows.
but it would be welcomed to have Blake work out with him.

i think the lack of centers starts at the AAU level. I think kids are being coached to be wing scorers more than anything.

and mK...on point...im sick of the Barkleys and Kennys who hate on every guy who is younger than them...oh the game is this the game is that...stfu already.
