Lions @ Cards: Game 2

Post#1 » by ajaX82 » Fri Sep 13, 2013 12:08 am

I expect a win. They will put up some points but our d-line should absolutely dominate them. Offense should roll

Going to be interesting. This week i would suppose there going to not double CJ and let PP go at him 1 on 1. i think our DE are going to have a good day

On paper, we should win the game. But they have a pretty rowdy atmosphere there. Ford Field-esque - the fans really help get their team up.

I worry that the fact the Cardinals played a similar team to Detroit last week gives them an edge. Arizona is nothing like Minnesota, Lions have to come up with a very different gameplan. D figures to be in nickel as base D as the Cards run 3 WR as their offense more than 80% of the time.

The Rams are styled a lot like Detroit: 4-3 front with great DL, press corners. The Cards saw this last week. The Lions saw a passive 4-3 front (no blitzing, read/react LBs) from the Vikings and now they get an attacking 3-4 front with a great front 3. They rush 5 almost all the time, sometimes 6.

The Lions are the more talented team but I think this really factors against them. This was a coin flipper for me.
It's not whether you win or lose, it's how good you look playing the game

This does have that sort of feeling game, where we shouldn't lose but they'll just make a lot more plays

Peterson may be a top five corner but CJ is abusing him. I love it

And Spurlock has had some mental gaffes as well. Still would have preferred Rugland and Miller instead of Akers and Spurlock

amazing stand after Bush fumble. i think Bush was thinking about his knee when he fumbled.

also i can't recall our secondary gettin there hands on this many balls/deflections

also for those who missed it Quin just drove/tackled a wide receiver all the way back to the line of scrimmage for 3rd down stop

Lions looking good thus far. That INT was sweet justice for that fumble.
