quick guess for the ranking of our players this year - not where I would rank them, but where I think ESPN will rank them.

2013 Rankings Guess
#450 Jeff Adrien - don't expect much love
#375 Jannero Pargo
#350 Anthony Tolliver - also gets the "Bobcats" factor drop
#350 Brendan Haywood - should drop 100 spots from last year
#300 Jeff Taylor - gets a huge bump from last year and is still probably underrated, ESPN will have him lower than Gordon, but no sane coach or GM would rate Gordon higher than Taylor at this point.
#275 Josh McRoberts - should get a slight bump from last year
#250 Bismack Biyombo - Biz drops from last year
#225 Ben Gordon - still ranked 100 spots too high
#200 Cody Zeller
#150 Ramon Sessions
#130 Michael Kidd-Gilchrist
#125 Gerald Henderson - also should be a little higher
#90 Kemba Walker - should be higher, but I won't get my hopes up
#65 Al Jefferson - Jefferson drop 20 spots from last year due to the "Bobcats" factor and nothing else

My bold prediction, Charlotte has 3 players in the top 100 and 2 of them are in top 80 , Kemba, Al top 80 and Gerald #100

Kemba was 21st in scoring last season, around 20th in Player efficiency rating and 5th in steals, call me crazy but id call him a top 50 player at worst.

2013 Rankings Guess
#475 Jeff Adrien - yeah, i expected that

#440 Anthony Tolliver - just isn't very good, expect a drop for playing for the Cats
#335 Jannero Pargo - he shoots 3s well
#300 Brendan Haywood - will drop quite a bit
#265 Ben Gordon - will still be ranked about 400 spots too high
#260 Jeff Taylor - won't get the love he deserves, but considering he didn't have an eventful rookie year
#235 Josh McRoberts - like Taylor, won't get the love he deserves
#230 Bismack Biyombo - odds that the word "bust" will wrongfully appear in Biz's description when they get there?
#220 Cody Zeller - I'll never understand why people hate on Zeller, but ESPN will
#155 Ramon Sessions - starting caliber PG of the bench, but coming off the bench for us does his rank no favors
#150 Michael Kidd-Gilchrist - i don't know whether they'll under or overrate him
#95 Gerald Henderson - he turned heads last year and it should reflect that
#60 Kemba Walker - should be higher, but you know...
#55 Al Jefferson - there will be a 30 point difference between Jefferson and Brook Lopez. yeah

SI is running their competing top 100. No Bobcats in the 51-100 range, but Hendo is mentioned in the 25 who just missed the cut. Assuming this means Big Al is top 50. Would be shocked if Kemba is top 50, but strange that Hendo would get the mention and not him.

over/under on the difference between kemba and lillard? my guess is that lillard is wrongfully ranked 30 spots higher than kemba.

over/under on the difference between mkg and barnes? again, i will guess that barnes is wrongfully ranked 30 spots higher than mkg.

If he isn't, he's very close. He's in the top 10-14 (at absolute worst) at the most loaded position in the NBA.

here are the guys doing the rankings

http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/page/ESP ... cast-panel

about 90% of the panel are working in LA or NYC it seems. queencityhoops the lone person who might have a positive bobcats bias.

they should just let zach lowe do them on his own.

It personally makes me sick how overrated Lillard is and how underrated Kemba is.

If Simmons was a part of this board, he'd go on a rant quoting you that OKC traded Harden for one season of Kevin Martin, the D-Leaguer Jeremy Lamb and Steven Adams who can't even beat Hakim Warrick in the ESPN rankings.
