i can understand oregon not picking up more votes since bama beat a top 10 team

michigan st keeps creeping toward the top 25, and now that they found an offense probably only a matter of time

NDSU beats K State, gets gameday. Plus defending champs, no big games this week really.

Not sure MSU found offense or Youngstown State though, hope they beat ND!

Well the Wolfpack are plagued with injuries. We might not have Fajardo again this week, and our backup tore his ACL. Looks like this season is a lost cause even though we should still run up the score against Hawaii.

hawks offense scores

rudock is a very smart runner, lets the play develop, waits for blocks, finds holes - pretty impressive

Whichever defense can score the most points will be the winner.

Looks like driskel is gonna be out for a while

General Week 4 thoughts:
1. Driskel out for the season sucks for UF.
2. What's up w/ Michigan at this point, they looked great then 2 clunckers in a row?
3. USC's offense is really not good.
4. Enough with the FCS opponents, if you're a top ten team, its nuts. I need less 70 point games.
5. Random game's that caught my attention:
Pitt/Duke ended 58 to 55, which I couldn't watch on TV but can't believe.

I can't believe it, but Maryland may be an ACC darkhorse to at least screw up some hopes for major contenders, 37-0 over WVU.

Rutgers beat Arkansas, just think about how weird that sounds.

FLA's backup didn't look half bad, TBH. One stupid throw, but maybe it's just cause I'm comparing him to Tennessee's QBs who looked awful.

Driskel has not been good at times for UF, but folks that are happy that Murphy is replacing him better beware.

Michigan despite winning, continues to lose credibility necessary for later in the year.

Lane Kiffen is probably the most "non-proven" coaching blowhard in recent memory. Loss of scholarships hurt no doubt, but he is a phony..... in addition to being a lousy coach.

The FCS patty-cakes can not compete, however, the upper echelon FCS teams have pulled off many upsets in recent years. No. 2 ranked Michigan lost to App St some years ago. The NCAA just needs to invoke a mandatory running clock after a team gains a 35 pt lead (like High school) LOL

Maryland was playing much of last season using a LB for QB after their first 4 QB's sustained injuries. They were not as bad as their record, and I agree that they could be a pain in the ass for others....if not even a contender.

UT QB play was terrible. Worley wasn't as bad as Peterman, but UT is a long way from being elite.

Pig Howard is going to be terrific, but the defense is not good and neither is either line.

We will have to see how Murphy plays once the competition gets tougher. He ran very well and made some nice (but short) throws. What happens on 3rd and 9 against a legitimate defense remains to be seen.

Yesterday may have been a steppingstone for change for the better for the gators, or, possibly was a bucket of "fool's gold" with a temporarily flashy back up QB.

An early game to watch on ABC is South Carolina at UCF, playing in the "bounce-house brawl"

The game will have 48K, and the stadium will literally shake at times.

Blake Bortles-QB is relatively unknown and he has 3 NFL calibre WR's in his arsenal

I hope UCF can pull that one off, would make me feel so much better after my Lions lost to them. Think it will at least be a tight game though, at UCF with a great QB. A few of the late Pac 12 games interest me too. I think USC/ASU will be good, and Stanford/Wazzu has some potential, I'd like to see if Mike Leach can plan anything to keep it interesting there.

VaTech/GaTech was a snoozer last night. Really sloppy showing.

Big games this weekend:

The aforementioned game of #12 South Carolina vs. UCF
#6 LSU vs. #9 Georgia (Where College Gameday is this week)
#14 Oklahoma vs. #22 Notre Dame
The Hermes Special: Iowa vs. Minnesota
#21 Ole Miss vs. #1 Alabama
#10 Texas A&M vs. Arkansas
Arizona vs. #16 Washington
#23 Wisconsin vs. #4 Ohio State
#5 Stanford vs. Wazzu
USC vs. Arizona State

I'm obviously looking forward to that game at the Horseshoe. The last game Wisconsin played against the F*ckeyes was in 2011 and it was a last second loss after the defense did a half decent job containing Braxton Miller. Should be a decent matchup.

The Ole Miss/Bama game could be a real barn burner, too. That young Rebels defense could cause some problems for AJ McCarron. The only thing is having to win in Tuscaloosa may be a bit too much to ask for from the kids.
