Tommy Morrison passes away at age 44.

I'll be honest, most of my memories of him are Rocky V, his fight against Foreman, and testing positive for HIV. Damn, he had some power in his punches. I never thought he'd defeat Tyson, but it was something I always wanted to see.

I work part time at the Amway Center, home of the Orlando Magic. Cotto is fighting there on Oct.5, I'm hoping to work that event.

Slowly getting back to the typical boxing week, looks like Andre Ward's next title defense will be against Edwin Rodriguez in November on HBO.

He was an amazing fighter... Should have two W vs Ali but given that everyone was riding him as the greatest, Norton got jobbed.
The guy had a build like wald back in the day when no else was muscular...

Fatso Chavez is trying to get the weight limit vs Vera changed again. It's currently the 168 limit after originally being a 164 catchweight and on the 7th of September but he couldn't make the weight even with the fight getting postponed by 3 weeks for a "cut." Now he wants it to be 173, I dislike this fat disgrace

SMH, Chavez jr. doesn't deserve to be named Chavez jr. Geeze he really treats his boxing career as a part time job.

Always makes me wonder what the media would've thought of Ali had Norton taken that trilogy...that and if Eddie Futch wasn't either his or Frazier's trainers.

It isn't unreasonable to expect an upset... he is lazy... which is a shame given that he has all the physical tools(I mean he is 6"1... wtf) to be among the best but it just isn't in him to apply himself.

Vera was robbed. Sorry but those judges were paid off. One had it 8 rounds to 2 in favor of Chavez. Give me a break. Chavez may have landed the harder shots, but he was outworked for all 10 rounds. And whenever he did land he couldn't really hurt Vera to the point of stopping his momentum. Vera was the smaller man and he was backing Chavez up for the majority of the fight. Decisions like this make me sick.

I really dislike Chavez. He's a lazy bum with an entitled attitude. Dude was stopping in the middle of the fight to complain about low blows and headbutts. Then he continued to b*tch about it in his post fight interview. He's a disgrace to his father's name.

Scored it 7-3 for Vera, he clearly won this fight but I had a feeling this **** would happen once it became quite clear early that Vera was a very live dog in this fight.

Chavez' complaining to the ref is a family tradition, Chavez sr.'s interviews after losing to Randall is one long whinefest about Richard Steele

Boxing is becoming unwatchable thanks to all these awful decisions.
