Haha how so? I think I saw one play the last time he was on where he was turned around. That's about it. Is it because he isn't blocking every single shot? He's barely even played 1 on 1 this game.

Italy is forcing one on one game, and Jonas is a liability here because of his low basketball IQ. Jonas has low basketball IQ, because Casey does not rhyme with smart basketball. The coach is trying to salvage the game, thinking that the 4th quarter, when all Italy's leaders are tired, will give the team some advantage. If Jonas can deliver at that moment, he will have his chance.

The fact that LT having huge advantage in front line attempted less FT's then Italy tells me that Kazlauskas is matching up to Italians instead of forcing them to matchup with us. Hate that.

I am a big JV supporter, but in this game he has no impact. None. I just tell what I see :wink:

Maybe he will rebound in 4th, but so far it was really painful to watch him struggle to do anything of worth.

JV in game : subs in, plays few minutes without receiving a single ball, collects a foul, gets subbed, coach preaches smth. to him before he sits down on bench. Repeat.

Nooo I think your expectations are a little out of whack for him. He's been uninvolved in the offense, where he thrives, and his defense has been far from detrimental.

Oh wow, look Lithuania you give it to your big men and they score against a smaller team. Frankly I don't care whether it's Lav, JV, or DM, get the ball inside.

Again, he can be blamed if he's playing a lot and getting touches. Neither of those is happening.

Kazlauskas doesn't seem any different from Kemzura. Barely plays JV yet puts the blame all on him.

All these coaches love to ruin his confidence... apparently it's fun

Statwise of course he is. How do you expect a guy to have a good game when he is yanked off the floor every 2 minutes and doesn't get any touches on offense, where he thrives? Are you out of your mind?

It seems JV can't play European basketball any more. He got used to the 1v1 no defense NBA style.
All the times he got subbed this game, he just strutted around and did nothing. Neither offensively, nor defensively. Both Lav and D-mo are playing better C atm.

And it''s not just this game. He had like 2 good games this tournament so far.

Yeah, sounds like smart coaching to me. As compared to Casey, who let's players ruin the game.
See - Motiejunas is so much better in this game than Val - and he gets his minutes.

He is having horrible game, but it seems some people thinks it is not mainly his own fault.

Please explain to me, how is he good on defense? He sucks while rotating, hasn't been providing any rim protection, can't rebound the ball. Does he need passes on defense as well? Also, #7 on Lithuania has looked much better than Jonas today.
