Rare to see the heels dominated so cleanly in a main event match up

I have never commented on a show before, just watch and tape but I have to say that being from Chicago and having attended shows since it was the Rosemont Horizon, that until Punk came out, the show sucked. I say this because I am tired of watching the same f'n replays from a week ago 5 times. I know what happened, I watched it. If you want to show something ONCE, fine but not every half fricken hour. RAW should have been 3 hours when the wars were happening or when they merged not now. Better yet, have MATCHES. Have people jump people ALL THE TIME. Something. The shows need to be like the last hour all 3 hours. Oh, and to bring it full circle, they wasted the BEST WRESTLING CROWD IN THE WORLD for two hours.

Was at the show. Yep that was the crowd clapping. These Wyatts seem to get face-like pops everywhere

I think the WWE needs to get the belt off Del Rio asap for like the last month on RAW the fans
have been incredibly bored during his matches and usually chant "Randy Savage" and all the
other stuff. Sometimes Orton gets it but Del Rio has been getting it consistently for awhile.

Not a good sign when fans need to chant random things to keep themselves entertained during
the world heavyweight champions matches.

I'm not even sure why they split him from Ricardo to begin with and turned him face then heel so quick. He was slowly gaining momentum as a face for a while but he lost it.

You're right about taking the belt off of him soon though. I still like Del Rio a lot, but he hasn't lived up to it so far.

I think ADR has lived up to it, it's just that the belt is so damn stale...I don't tink ANYONE could fix it...Not even the future of the WWE, Mr. Cody Rhodes.

I like ADR as well but the fans seem to be bored during his matches. Anyone else notice the
"Randy Savage" and announcer chants always seem to be during Del Rios matches?

As for Stephanie giving the Miz reasons why he sucks should come natural lol

It's because they insist on booking the WHC and IC champion in the exact same fashion: either put them in singles matches against their upcoming opponent, or put them in a singles match with someone else and have their opponent get involved. Unfortunately for Del Rio, he's stuck in this awful booking pattern and can't get out. When he actually does stuff outside of singles matches, the crowd is engaged. They're also engaged during his pay per view matches.

Right now, WWE is doing a lot of things correctly. Booking the WHC title is not one of them.

So, the show last night. I'll get the bad out of the way first. My friend bailed on me at the last second (as I was leaving my house to go pick him up) plus there was some grade-A douchebag sitting right behind me. This guy would never shut up and was just every bad stereotype of an internet fan. He tried to call moves and was wrong 95% of the time, he started chanting Husky Harris at Bray Wyatt (thank god no one joined him).

Some cool things I saw. I saw Brock Lesnar guy and high-fived him. And, I didn't realize the main event segment was going to be as long as it was and went to the bathroom after the Punk segment. And just past the bathroom I see this area taped off and I go take a peek and who is standing there but The Shield. I yell Tyler Black at Rollins and the three of them don't react at all. And so I say "good job your being good heels" and Rollins and Ambrose don't react but I think I saw a tiny smile creep in the corner of Reigns' mouth.

As for the show itself, the crowd wasn't too hot for the first 2 hours of the show because the first 2 hours weren't that good. HHH is still getting cheered far more than he probably should and just something about that opening segment didn't totally work. The ADR-Kofi match went longer than it probably should have and we saw the chant the announcer's name thing because of that. But, my main takeaway is that ADR is a really, really good heel. I don't think he's been booked that well and he's definitely not an elite talker but once they ring that bell just little things like facial mannerisms and celebrating after making a move to get heat, he's just so good at things like that.

The two bright spots of those first 2 hours were RVD-Randy Orton and the Miz TV segment. RVD-Orton was a good match and its good to see that Orton seems to be improving every week at acting like a heel. The Miz TV segment, Stephanie McMahon is such a heat magnet that Miz who did not get the warmest reception was being cheered like a top babyface before that segment was over. I might go back and watch the show again and if so I'll be curious to see if the announcers put over the fact that, unlike in previous instances, Show showed absolutely no hesitation when he knocked out Miz.

I'll give the WWE this, they certainly know how to send a crowd home happy because that last hour was just fantastic. Granted its his hometown but CM Punk could've been reading the phone book out there and would've had the entire crowd chanting his name. And just another really, really good segment from these guys.

Bryan also had the crowd eating out of the palm of his hands. I was sitting really close and they did a really good job of hiding the Rhodes boys identities because I had no idea where those guys came from. The Cody chants were really loud, this guy is going to be a huge star in the future. That final scene of them surrounding Rollins was really cool.

As Bryan was leaving CM Punk came out for the dark segment. He put over the crowd and called out anybody and the Paul Heyman regime emerged. As they were surrounding him, Lawler slipped Punk a kendo stick and he beat down Axel and Ryback with it. As he was about to get his hands on Heyman Ryback hit him and Heyman high-tailed it out of there. Him and Axel double teamed Punk for a bit, eventually Punk got the upper hand and left them laying. Punk put over the crowd again and that was that.

Nice review safi.

I'll be at the SD tapings tonight, a little disappointed that Orton vs Bryan was being advertised and is now supposedly Orton vs Miz, hopefully D-Bry is there.

I was never a big fan of Ryback but I have to say this whole Bully angle thing from a heel is actually quite interesting and his delivery has been pretty good. It's an intriguing take that could really get him over as a heel working with Heyman for an eventual turn.

Dark Match & Main Event spoilers

Spoiler:
Night started with Sami Zayn & Bo Dallas vs Tons of Funk in a dark match. It was nice seeing SZ but there's not much to comment on the match, it was pretty quick and ToF won handily.

Main Event started off with Big E and Fandango vs The Usos, this was a pretty fun match, I'd guess the longest of the three ME matches and the most well balanced.

Sandow vs Big Show - Sandow got squashed, big show ripped his briefcase off of a chain and placed it in Sandows hands after deliviring the WMD

Axel vs Gabriel - Until Gabriel got some offense in late you could hear a pin drop. I've been underwhelmed with Axel as it is but being there live and hearing him get literally no reaction makes me wonder what you do with him.

Smackdown Spoilers

Spoiler:
The show started with a pretty good segment between Miz and HHH, leading to HHH booking the main event of Orton vs Miz ( :( )

Del Rio then beat R-Truth in a quick squash match.

PTP and the Real Americans had a good match, the crowd was getting into it and it was a decent length match. Cesaro gave the giant swing to Titus, which was crazy to see live, especially done to such a large man. Real Americans eventually won dirty.

Bray Wyatt beat Zach Ryder. Nothing to the match but it was nice getting to see the Wyatt entrance live. There were a few Husky Harris chants early.

Ambrose vs Ziggler got called a DQ only a couple minutes in and at this point you can hear some groans coming out because there's been a lot of quick matches and a lot of dark downtime in between taping segments... But H comes out and makes it a 6 man tag between The Shield and Ziggler/RVD/Kofi. It was your classic everyone hit their finishers near the end 6 man tag match but it was nice to get a full length match with some good action, probably the best match of the night.

AJ Lee beat Cameron. With the angle I was at AJ gave me some nice ass posing.

A couple minutes into the Main Event Miz gets injured and Orton gets DQ'd, HHH came out and had the match restarted and said the match had to end by pinfall, Miz got RKO'd shortly after. Most of the crowd stuck around hoping for a Dark Match main event but Lilian Garcia told us to go home.

I had fun being there live but overall it wasn't the best show. No D-Bry, no Punk, The tag match in Main Event was better than a majority of the SD matches in terms of quality. Heyman had a promo & HHH and Big Show had a short backstage segment to build that a little more, but hardly any storyline development.

Stanford mentioned this not too long ago but there's really no one helping guide the show for the live crowd at SD, they would tape a segment then turn off the lights and music and cut to black screen. They did this even when they cut to the announce booth so this happened often. They did this right after Wyatt won his match and then Bray was posing on the ringpost, you could see the ref grab and rush him off to the entrance ramp because all the lights and music and everything were about to come back on in a few seconds and he had to be in place for the spotlight with The Family. Just seems like an odd way to do things.
