I honestly had Batum ranked a bit lower, and thought I could nab him with my 2nd rounder. Surprised to see him go that high, but as a Batum owner last season, when he's healthy, hes an absolute gun.!

I didnt think Wade would go that high either. Oh well, that all this means is that a couple of players that I thought wouldnt be availible at my pick would be.

Yeah, Batum was brilliant in the Euroleague this year, and i think he will translate that into the NBA season.

I was gonna pick a big man but I just decided in the last minute to grab Conley since he's just so damn good and has been 2nd round value for a few years now. With Rudy Gay out the door and the Grizzlies looking to speed it up this year, I think he's gonna be awesome. Not really concerned about categories at this point since everyone I wanted was gone.

Hmmmmmm...... taking 2 guys back to back in round one and round two that only have PG eligibility....... I dont think thats too smart in the long run......

I just went with whom I felt was the best talent at that point and also the most sure thing. If you really look at who's left, he was definitely one of the best guys (if not the best) left on the board. I'll slot him in at the guard position. Last year I took a lot of risks and got middling talent so I didn't feel like gambling. Being on the clock and also not having any of my desired big men drop to me forced my hand. But I still feel like I got a 2nd round player.

I thought Conley was a great pick for this part of the draft (almost took him myself) then Kerrsed pointed out that you already took a PG with your first pick, then I didn't think it was such a good pick. For you at least.
