I'm from Southern California. What that statement means is that he's a ghetto idiot, no more, no less.

I don't have a problem with this...he was celebrating his birthday. The Game got angry because he thought it was his turf, and started stuff. Stupid reason to get angry if you ask me, but ah well.

Brandon Jennings may be hood, but he doesnt strike me as an idiot. An idiot would've punched the game back.

i'd rather have a player with a chip on his shoulder that the rest of the league hates, than a player who's best friends with everyone. The NBA lacks a bad boy team which everyone hates, and sketchy rivalries. i think with Jennings we have a chance to become that team. . Sort of like a giant middle finger to the rest of the league. The trick is that we also have to be a good team

To clarify, the other poster stated the "ghetto idiot" i was just merely saying brandon's attitude directed in the right direction can be a win for our pistons. i don't think he's a idiot, and i don't think he''s a person that's all talk either

But I'm really into him embracing his role as NBA irritant. I need him to be the villain on the Pistons, America's team. We already have Andre Drummond maybe dating Jennette McCurdy, and Josh Smith giving heart attacks to shooting-efficiency fiends. When you watch an NBA game, you see a lot of dudes who have been playing games against and with each other for most of their lives — in high school, AAU, summer camps, and college. There's just a lot of camaraderie and friendship on display. We need a bad boy. We need Brandon Jennings creating chaos in every arena he visits, pissing off All-Stars, and getting punched by rappers. May Jennings behave like every day is his birthday.

I dunno if Jennings is a butt lover, but he's just got that kinda immature, "respekt me, dawg" attitude that so many young players have, and that issue is usually worse when they come from a place like Compton. Lakers had that to deal with in Van Exel, he couldn't get it thru his head that he had to act like a man until West sent him to the 15 win Nuggets. Nick eventually did turn around his attitude, but it's usually at the cost of the first team or two that the player is with. Pistons brass can't be afraid to have a sit-down with him about expectations. They should be higher than those of a city like Milwaukee who probably has to coddle players in the hopes of keeping them.

You can't mandate that a player not hit the club scene (often stupid shh goes down in those places due to the very nature of the people that frequent them), but they can request that he focus on doing what they specifically stated -- i.e. him being the PG of the future. That ain't gonna happen for very long if he doesn't get that a winning attitude includes a personal attitude towards doing things that help the team and that serve as an example for lesser/older teammates. Some guys won't follow an immature clubber by principle, unless maybe he's like Iverson (MVP) who had a coach and owner who kept lying about how he was simply misunderstood. Respect is earned. Unfortunately, post-Gen X kids have been taught differently by rap morons like The Game. Also unfortunately, these aren't just Milwaukee Bucks and Detroit Pistons concerns, but leaguewide concerns. They also could give him some Isiah Thomas docus and footage in the hopes that Isiah's drive and commitment to winning will be noticed.

This is what i refereed to earlier.

however, the only way this becomes a positive for us is if jennings buys into what we have put together as a team. We don't need a iverson lite chucker that wants to win the game on his own. We need a guy that will shoot when needed to and a guy that focuses on gettign Smith, monroe and Drummond the ball. If he is playing the right kind of basketball and keeping his ego in check, a cocky jeenings could be the dose of attitude this team needs.
