OT: Ticket Question

Post#1 » by LittleRooster » Thu Sep 26, 2013 6:24 pm

So, I'm looking to going to, at least, one more Packers game with my brother this year. Looking on stubhub the cheapest pair I've found would be for the Sunday night game against Atlanta on 12/8 for $134.

My question is about scalpers at Lambeau. Are there scalpers there like at Miller Park where I could get much better prices? If there are scalpers where would they be ect ect...

And, of course, if you guys have any tickets you don't want... :D

I appreciate any and all input as always!

I just looked on stubhub and they're $134 a ticket, not $134 total. There are cheaper tickets on the NFL Ticket exchange.

ETA: VividSeats has some cheaper tickets, too. Never used them before, though.

There's a scalpers area across the street from Lambeau, by the Resch center. As is usual with scalpers you'll get the best price if you are willing to wait right up until kickoff, knowing you'll miss half of the first quarter.

Night games are generally a little cheaper. Othersie Atlanta would be much higher than Cleveland. Other than the Browns are home schedule consists of teams fans want to see, Bears, Vikings, Lions, Eagles< Steelers, Falcons, Skins. The Pitt game may end up being cheap. It will be cold and the Steelers suck this year.

Steeler fans travel almost as well as GB fans, though. There will be a good number of them at the game. Something to keep in mind.

RS is right, Pitt fans travel very very well and I can see where going to Lambeau would be attractive to them and many of them probably got tickets before the season started. However if their team continues to flounder and given that the game is 3 days before Xmas you may find some Steelers fans unloading their tickets on SH at some point. I'd keep checking that game if that's one you would be interested in going to.

I think we've basically decided on going to the Falcons game...but I'm sure we'll talk. Before the season we were talking about going to Detroit or Cincy because tickets were going for like 75-80 dollars each! Det's at about 100 right now.

The only thing about the scalpers that worries my brother, but not me, is the fact about driving about 2 + hours without tickets. He's more worried about not getting any tickets at all. Is this a legit concern or we will definitely be able to get tickets from scalpers.

I always just keep an eye on tiqiq.com and craigslist. I'd wait as late as possible honestly. You pay for the convenience of having tickets, so if you're trying to save money, waiting as long as possible is the way to go.

There will definitely be scalpers out there, every game they're there. It's just a matter of playing the game and how close to kickoff you're willing to wait.

One last question, I swear. You have all been very helpful!!

How much should we expect to pay with the scalpers if we wait till kickoff?

If you are determined to sit right next to each other you will pay about $70-100.

I normally go with a friend and we have no problem buying individual seats for half that price.

I live right near GB and found that I had more offers for tickets than ever for the Redskins game. The new seating injected a lot of additional seats, and I think a lot of people grabbed those hoping to be able to flip them for a profit.

I'd imagine you could easily score tickets at face value if you wait for an hour before kickoff

WTF is up with the prices on the Detroit game? I know its a Milw game but this is out of hand. I'm going to end up at one of the bars instead of the game at this rate.

Fall games are generally popular due to the warmer weather, and its now a pretty big matchup within the division. Plus alot of Lions fans are in the U.P. and GB is closer than Detroit.

The only game I ever tried to buy from scalpers was the Vikings game in 2010 and tickets did not drop, and by mid-1st quarter they were all gone. BUT Favre was with Minnesota yet so the demand was real high. If you're willing to pay, you'll have no issues getting a ticket. If you want to get around face value, you'll have to wait like some of said.

I've given up on getting tix. I think at this point I would rather hang out in one of the Lambeau bars and enjoy some food and drink with the $400 two tix would run me.

I'm up to 22,000 on the waiting list after putting my name on it like 20 years ago.
