browns willing to trade josh gordon
this guy is a stud, 6-4 225 lb and he is only 22 years old and can flat out fly. browns are in a fire sale right now and looking for picks. bears need another tall receiver and gordon is a perfect compliment next to jeffery and marshall. bears really need a burner on the outside, its obvious cutler really miss knox, and gordon can that guy. think about it, jeffery and gordon on the outside, marshall on the slot and martellus working the middle. thats 4 guys over 6-4 running around, jay would have a field day with those options. the defense wouldnt know who to cover. aslo the reason why the bears need to go after gordon is detriot, detriot is looking for a no.2 receiver since burleson went down and they are very interested in gordon to pair him next to calvin. if he goes to detriot, it would be a nightmare for bears defense to cover them two. emery needs to get him out of detriot and land him in the windy city. cleveland is on a fire sale, we can have gordon cheap like maybe a 3rd. the only negatives on gordon is his immaturity, if he makes 1 more mistake, he is suspended for the whole year. but we have marshall to guide him and help him. i think he is worth the risk for only a 3rd round pick.

If Gordon could be had for a 3rd rounder then he'd be gone already. It's more likely that they're trying to squeeze a 1st rounder out of the WR desperate Niners or make the Lions pony up a 1st rounder. Cliff Levingston doesn't see anyone getting him for less than a 2nd rounder. He's young and seems to have made mental maturity strides so he's the kinds of guy you would want around if you're anticipating draft a franchise QB this next draft.
Other than that, the bears don't "need" another tall receiver. Most teams don't even have the size we have now. We need a burner with sub 4.4 speed that can pop the top off the defense. Gordon isn't that guy: he ran around a 4.55 but has football speed. As nice as it would be to have him, the pick will be better used next draft.
If we're going to draft a valuable pick for someone, it should be a defensive tackle in the wake of Melton's injury.

I don't agree that we need another tall WR. I also don't agree on needing a burner. Both Marshall and Jeffrey are threats down the field. The Bears offense is not looking to bomb down field just yet. Our offense is working on the run game and keeping Cutler upright. When Trestman feels the offense is ready, we will see more downfield passes. We are not a team like Cleveland that relies on big plays to put up points. Trestman is trying to implement an offense that can put together long drives, that come away with points.
I certainly would not give up a draft pick for this guy. We are going to need those picks, cause we are getting older on the defense side of the ball. We are going to need corner backs and defensive lineman. I would rather not put big money in free agents, or try and find a gem in the 5-6th rounds.

Josh Gordon trade rumors: Browns WR makes a whole lot of sense for 49ers
http://www.ninersnation.com/2013/10/8/4 ... l-crabtree
I read somewhere else that the Browns are speaking to other teams as well.
-----------------------
I'm sure there will be a massive bidding war for him since there are a bunch of contending teams who could use his services such as;
49ers
Seahwaks
Patriots
Bears
Lions
Chiefs
Then you have teams that he could go to and make them contenders
Falcons
Ravens
Dolphins
Panthers
Chargers
Texans
Jets
Vikings (along with the signing of Freeman)

I brought up a Tony Gonzalez trade in the other thread but I wouldn't be surprised if he and Gordon both ended up in NE
