Is there a way to have 100 posts a page?

Post#1 » by GoRapstheoriginal » Mon Sep 30, 2013 5:07 am

What I mean is on some other forums I frequent I can have it set up so I can scroll vertically like 100 posts/page.

I can not find similar settings in my display preferences on my user control panel on here.

Is it a limitation of the forum software or? Asking nicely/politely/sincerely, mucho thanks in advance!

Any info would be greatly appreciated! :P! :)!

GoRapstheoriginal,

We have 15 posts per page.

That's pretty much just how we have it set.

If you use a grease monkey add on with Firefox you can. It's called something "scroll". I forget but if you google the add on with Firefox there is a way.

To piggyback on that there's an addon for Firefox and Chrome called AutoPager that will load the next page below the first page as soon as you reach the bottom. FastestFox for Firefox also works.

I've tried fastestfox, and seems to work fine in other forums - or should i say fora? - either built on phpbb or vbulletin but for some reason not in this one. Any idea why?

As the number of posts per page increases, the page generation time and server load start taking a hit, which is why we keep the number at a manageable 15 posts per page. I agree that some times it would be nice to load more, but overall 15 at a time has proven to be an ideal number.
