its time to end the shea mcclelin experiment..

Post#1 » by Brick Tamland » Tue Oct 1, 2013 12:17 am

emery and tucker need to realize shea is not a DE, he is a LB. he's just not strong and big enough to over power tackles. emery and tucker need to use shea the right way and use his biggest asset, speed and athleticism, to his advantage. he is more of a clay matthews type of player, stand him up and let him have a running start and use his speed and athleticism to go after the quarterback. shea gets stonewalled at the line because tackles just gobble him up. keeping him at DE will just ruin his career but moving him to LB will make wonders for his career and help the bears a lot.

He was a bust from day one. Emery gambled on finding the next JJ Watt and failed miserably.

i feel sorry for shea in this defense. emery and tucker are not utilizing him the right way. i know a lot of fans are calling him bust but its not his fault the coaches are miscasting him. he is a 3-4 rush linebacker but emery and lovie/tucker decided to stick him at DE. he is a clay mathews type of a player, outside rush backer. i know the bears are not gonna switch to a 3-4 anytime soon because they havent drafted that big boy in the middle but why not do a bill belichick/new england style defense, 4-3 hybrid defense or some people call it 4-3 joker. bears did this defense couple of weeks ago during the detriot game and shea was very productive getting to stafford. but they didnt stick to it, they only ran it like 4-5 times during that game. why are emery and tucker so stubborn trying to prove to us that shea is a DE :banghead: they are just stunting his growth and ruining his career. if they're not switching to a 3-4 anytime soon, they need to stick to a 4-3 hybrid/joker. use shea's biggest asset and make him a hybrid/joker DE. like i said, they ran this hybrid defense during the lions game and he pressured stafford but they didnt stick to it. i really dont get it? why go away from something that was working  i feel like this is lovie/angelo regime all over again, STUBBORN AND TRYING TO PROVE US WRONG BECAUSE THEY MADE A MISTAKE!! please make shea a hybrid DE this year and when they finally draft that big mofo nose tackle, switch him to an outside LB ala clay mathews. STAND HIM UP AND RUN A 4-3 HYBRID.. why is that so hard to figure out??
