2013-2014 Game Thread Archive

The main point of this thread is to sign-up for games. Anyone can volunteer for a particular game and will have the honor of introducing the match-up for the rest of us. There is no one right way to do it. It can include the lineups/rosters, a scouting report, graphics, whatever. Everybody can add their own flavor to it. We had quite a few posters do the game threads last year, and hopefully we'll see even more people get involved this season. Let's try to have the threads up by 3pm on game day (10am if the game is at 12:30pm), so we can all begin discussion. Even if it's not fully complete when you have first posted it, you can always update it later if you choose. If there's no thread posted by an hour and half before tip-off, then anyone can volunteer to create the thread.

-- Also, we'll be updating this post daily, so if you click on the match-up in this post, it will take you to the corresponding game thread. If you click on the final score, you will be taken to the official NBA.com boxscore. This allows for quick and easy reference if you need/want to recall a specific game/performance.

After every victory we'll have a poll for Star of the Game. After each win, you will have 24 hours to vote for who for who you felt had the biggest impact on the victory. The results will be tallied for the entire season and help determine the team's best player. Past winners for the annual Mr. Clipper Award (Player of the Year) include Chris Paul (2x), Blake Griffin, Baron Davis and Eric Gordon.

Looks interesting. I'm thinking about doing the very first regular season, vs. Lakers on October 29. This could even be a great opportunity to preview and test out my new Preventions metric, created exclusively for the Clippers to determine how well they play defense.

Looking into the issue. New users that have been around for less than 100 days cannot send PM's, but you should have been able to read them from mods. I'll let you know when I find something out.

I'll take the Brooklyn game on the 16th. Next televised game that's available. Still undecided on league pass since we have like 35/82 games on TV
