The only problem with Gortat is he is expiring. So we are going to give up young assets, then have to pay to keep Gortat. I've long hoped to have the guy, I think he is a great fit on the team and the city. I also think the flexibility of two quality centers is a great model. Unfortunately I think we have the wrong PG to play with him. Dragic is actually a better fit then Lowry.

I'd entertain the thought of a Dragic-Lowry swap, not sure how the dollars look.

I've always been a fan of Chandler's game, but not a huge fan of Javale's contract. It's an interesting proposal though.

Landry Fields, Terrance Ross, Aaron Gray, 2016 Knicks 1st
for
Marcin Gortat & Shannon Brown

Gives us a very solid C pairing of Gortat and Val, and Brown gives us a needed scoring punch off the bench.
PHX gets a young 3D wing in Ross, a future first, and they also increase their odds at Wiggins.

Thoughts?

Similarly.. I proposed these earlier to shore up our C rotation, what do you think?

Fields + Acy + Knicks 2016 to the Kings for Jason Thompson + Travis Outlaw

Fields to the Bucks for Zaza

I don't know, I'd personally much rather Gortat. Both for his skills, his marketability to the Polish community, and the way he plays the game. He's a bruiser, it's great having bigs who can battle down low like him.

Oh I would too but frankly he's too good to be backing up JV. The guys a starting C on almost any roster in the league

At this point, there aren't many options for trades IMO.

We don't want to absorb huge contracts for the 2016 Free Agency Playoffs.
IMO, the only thing we should be trading for is draft picks for next year and hope we luck sack #1.

With Val developing a FT line elbow jumper, I can't see why the two can't play side by side. Jonas is agile enough to match up against most 4's. I know it's almost cliched to say, but it would be similar to the Spurs' Twin Towers.

I like it.... everyone wants to play small ball in the NBA... screw them, lets do the opposite... This is a tough lineup to matchup with. Even tough if we add a 3pt shooter at the 2 and bring DD in off the bench

And we won't be getting all of that for those pieces that we're trading away

Lowry for Maynor, not even a big fan of maynor but he's a better floor leader.

I'm hoping for a trade where we can get an established 4-man to pair with JV.

I think Ryan Anderson would be ideal, but I think Monroe would be a great fit with his passing ability and his mid-range jumper. Rudy Gay might be the guy that can bring us those pieces... Rudy's always been one of my favourite players, but for a better fit, I'd do it. I think DeMar can establish himself as one of the best wing players in the league, and I think we can ride with him. I also think having a great PF/C combo, with a SG like DeMar and a good PG, we might be able to convince Durant to come to the team he wanted to play for as a kid (us). My goal is that we create a team that Durant see's as a team that can contend with him. 2016 offseason is what we need to look to, because that will be our time... our time to turn this thing around and put us back on the map.

Nevertheless, I'm still hoping this team clicks and we can prove the league wrong... We have the potential, It's all about going out there, executing, and making us a good team.
