I swear, this was ONE of the most perplexing/frustrating things about last year. Watching Dunlap bench MKG for almost the entirety of 4th quarters killed me.

I agree it was frustrating to see but on reflection I'd say it was fair in the circumstances of his multiple minor injuries.

The problem I have with it is that Dunlap should have rested him in the first half before letting him play almost the entire second half.

I just hope he can avoid those minor injuries this season and his jumper is not a liability to sit him in any close games.

It wasn't even the fact he was benched, it was that it was for BEN GORDON.

*shudders cuz it's true*

Whenever a "deer in the headlights" Jeff Taylor was playing major minutes over MKG I was pretty POed too.

I got irate when Taylor was getting minutes over a healthy Henderson.

“I was disappointed in myself,’’ Kidd-Gilchrist said at media day, on the eve of training camp Tuesday morning at UNC Asheville.

“It wasn’t the losses. I like all my teammates and we bonded a lot. I was mad at myself. I set goals and I didn’t reach any of the goals that I set. All my life I did that and last year I didn’t reach one goal.’’

Asked for specifics, Kidd-Gilchrist said he set out to be rookie of the year and failed. He set out to make first-team all-rookie, and failed.

Edit: I can't find link. Post it and I'll paraphrase it.

it was horrible. The fact that people should pay for such "inside information" is a crime. Here's my synopsis of it:

It was about eight sentences long and stated that if MKG wants to a better year, he needs to improve his shooting touch. Then it was followed with a quote from MKG where he stated that Mark Price indeed has worked on his jumper by starting at his footwork and from there just making him shoot it a lot.

The article was concluded with a statement that MKG, Tristan Thompson (the change of shooting hands) and Tony Wroten all need to get better at this. Will they improve and stick to their new techniques through good and bad? That's what we'll see this season.

seems the free article was much better than the insider one. all you need to know is in the free link, and nothing we haven't read previously.

I did like seeing that Price isn't going to add anything else to his jumper until next Summer. A slow methodical process.

So his stuttering is as bad as ever. Warning: that's painful to watch.

But with that said, it just adds to his character. He has been struggling to overcome his impediment every single day of his life so he knows the virtue of persistence.

Watched this yesterday. His stuttering has actually come a long way since last season.

Probably because it was live. If you notice during the interview it cuts off then back on for a split moment as they probably edited some stuttering out. I still think he's a lot better than draft night last year. That was just incredibly painful to see.

Draft night was bad but some of the few other interviews I've seen from him since then were all painful. The only ones bearable are when he uses a phrase he's surely practiced on, like "i'm just ready to play". I don't see any improvement in that video personally but I'm not insulting him, it only makes me cheer for him more.

Rochinski should tell him before hand what the questions are do he has an idea and doesn't go into panic mode. How did Kentucky handle him? If we ever make playoffs and he has a big game people are going to want to talk to him.
