arod lawsuits

Rodriguez filed a lawsuit Thursday night in New York State Supreme Court that alleges Major League Baseball and commissioner Bud Selig have had one goal in mind: "to improperly marshal evidence that they hope to use to destroy the reputation and career of Alex Rodriguez." The suit seeks compensatory and punitive damages that would be determined at trial.

"While we vehemently deny the allegations in the complaint, none of those allegations is relevant to the real issue: whether Mr. Rodriguez violated the Joint Drug Prevention and Treatment Program by using and possessing numerous forms of prohibited performance-enhancing substances, including testosterone and human growth hormone, over the course of multiple years and whether he violated the Basic Agreement by attempting to cover-up his violations of the Program by engaging in a course of conduct intended to obstruct and frustrate the Office of the Commissioner's investigation," the statement read.

He'll be suing Walgreens before it's over.

I know ARod can be a first class pr*ck, but I hope he drags others into this. There is a sh*t ton of players who juiced, etc, but only a small % were went after, and they went after ARod with extra glee, though he's come under suspicion more than once. Baseball deserves the black eye. Selig is a massive hypocrite. I'd love to see his "legacy" tarnished.

Don't worry the others will get their day in court. At least Braun didn't fight it and was man enough to take his pay cheque and shut up. A- Roid appealed thinking he'll escape like Bonds and Clemens but I think MLB is better at it this time around.

Selig knew this crap was going on for years and looked the other way while everyone cashed cheques and exchanged high 5's as the homers and RBI's went up and so did attendance, after the black eyes baseball had after how many lockouts? Dude figured he'd ride the gravy train and then turn around and act all "concerned" near the end of his tenure to cement his "legacy"

Either he's a colossal buffon who should be remembered as one of the most idiotic commissioners ever, or a smarter guy than that who willingly ignored to obvious to placate his own greed and the greed of the owners - a corrupt, hypocritical d*uchebag.

I pick the 2nd. He's a bit of dork, but not that dumb. He and MLB should be investigated as well. What did you know and when did you know it?

I'm not sure Arod think's he's escaping anything. I think he just wants a fair suspension, 211 games is BS compared to what other players are getting.

211 is generous for a repeat offender, a dealer, and a guy who is "fairly" suing the Yankees doctor.

He's not a repeat offender (no positive test, his admittance was still before the new CBA rules), we've yet to see proof he's a dealer (telling buddies to go somewhere is different then directly selling the product), and it seems to me he should be suing the Yanks Dr, so not sure what that has to do with it.....

He IS a repeat offender, admittedly so. He came forth while he was having his FIRST hip surgery because he knew questions on why he can't hit all these homers and his health would inevitably call to question.

What makes you think MLB does not have all this dirt on him? This is NOT a open book investigation, it's been years in the making. I am fairly certain 211 is not for ONE failure. It's how MLB kept quiet so long as Alex cooperated with them.

Please show me his first drug failure and MLB suspension......his original admittance with Peter Gammons back in the day doesnt count because that was before their new CBA PED rules/suspensions/guidelines etc

This investigation started last dec 2012/jan 2013 when biogensis got exposed by a FL newspaper. MLB has since bought alot of information from the newspapers/bosch and other people but I'm not sure why you think this investigation has been going on for years and that Arod is "cooperating."

Arod hasn't been cooperating and the 211 game suspension is bc MLB thinks Arod lied, and tried to interfere with their investigation. While morally wrong, theres nothing that says Arod has to cooperate with anybody so the grounds their suspending him on are exagerated until shown otherwise.....
