Nash was in the same draft class Kobe was in

Thats what I was thinking. Kobe was highly rated as a better player going into last year. Of course this is by espn. But I agree with their assessment.

Kobe has not and will not get PRP by the way. Kenyon got that, Arenas got that, and Roy got it.

Kobe has gotten Regenokine, so has JO and he had a damn good year last year at times outplaying Gortat. The differenceis the treatment and the cost which guys like Arenas won't pay.

Wojnarowski specifically says that he's getting prp in his article.

Yeah but what kblo is talking about is a bit different process and it's what he's always gotten.

Woj is dead ass wrong. He's never actually gotten PRP before to get that treatment again. Likewise he could just get that in LA, the same way Kenyon, Arenas, Roy, and the like got it. Kobe, JO, and T-Mac all got regenokine in Germany, the latter of the two waited to they were totally broken down, but it made them useful in Phoenix and Detroit to the point of being starters and rotation guys again. Some guys aren't willing to pay for that out their pocket as has been said, JO took the risk last summer and Kobe took it after 11 when he couldn't practice right without pain, but guys like Arenas rather keep their dollars and let insurance get them PRP shots and treatment

There's a key difference, in the words of Vitti
“Vitti: Yes. This is where things got very confusing in the press, where some said that Kobe went to Germany for PRP (platelet rich plasma). This is not PRP. That is a different treatment from what Kobe did, which is called Orthokine or Regenokine. They are similar to PRP in that they take your own blood and spin it down in a centrifuge. In PRP, they take the platelets out and then inject them back into the site you’re having an issue with, which causes a therapeutic effect. “

MT: So in short, there's a stoppage of inflammation (Orthokine) and then the regenerative part (Regenokine).
Vitti: Correct. The interleukin is the protein that causes the inflammatory process in your joint, and so the process takes the antagonist of interleukin out and then inject that back into the joint. It is an invasive process, where they stick a needle into your body to get the blood, then eventually inject a serum into your knee.

MT: And Kobe is a good person to go through it as you know he'll follow through on the full rehabilitation process?
Vitti: He does everything he has to do. Comes early, stays late and so on. If you're going to accuse Kobe of anything, you'd accuse him of overdoing it, overworking.

The last part is most telling, its what Bynum didnt do that **** him, the work for the full process. Kobe when he first went their when in a freezing chamber to even ready himself for it, and then followed every instruction; Andrew bowled and blimped up

Check Kblo out. Thanks for the info bro. You can see how this confuses everybody. But like i said Gary Vitti is the guy who did the homework on the procedure and advised Kobe to get it done. Probably because he knew Kobe would do the work for the full process

I also remember Kepler saying the difference between Kobe as opposed to Jo and Tracy was he he got his before microfracture was necessary. Had those two sought that treatment before microfracture they might have seen even better results.
