How would Bryce Petty fare at the next level? I've only seen highlights of him so it's hard to make a fair assessment.

hawks aren't there yet, spartans defense is amazing - it was like running into a brick wall

bad news for the rest of the big ten is that michigan state has found their qb and their offense is taking shape - could be trouble with that defense

tough sledding for the hawkeyes ahead, would have been nice to get this one

NW got robbed on that spot. Hate to see great games fizzle out on a bad call.

thanks. sad that some people are so serious about gambling though

apparently UNC vs NCST last year was an even worse beat for those on the wrong side of it. can't imagine there wasn't more $ bet on tonite's game though

AP Rankings for Week 7

1 Alabama (55) 5-0 1495
2 Oregon (5) 5-0 1424
3 Clemson 5-0 1359
4 Ohio State 6-0 1305
5 Stanford 5-0 1278
6 Florida State 5-0 1158
7 Georgia 4-1 1138
8 Louisville 5-0 1051
9 Texas A&M 4-1 1003
10 LSU 5-1 993
11 UCLA 4-0 844
12 Oklahoma 5-0 819
13 Miami (FL) 5-0 780
14 South Carolina 4-1 764
15 Baylor 4-0 681
16 Washington 4-1 556
17 Florida 4-1 536
18 Michigan 5-0 514
19 Northwestern 4-1 418
20 Texas Tech 5-0 358
21 Fresno State 5-0 258
22 Oklahoma State 4-1 204
23 Northern Illinois 5-0 138
24 Virginia Tech 5-1 115
25 Missouri 5-0 105

Dropped from rankings: Arizona State 22, Ole Miss 24, Maryland 25

Others receiving votes: Auburn 61, Notre Dame 50, Nebraska 35, Wisconsin 29, Michigan State 16, UCF 7, Ole Miss 3, Arizona State 3, Rutgers 2

After a very good weekend of football, this is what the rankings look like. Top 5 stays the same, but FSU jumps to #6 after absolutely destroying Maryland (who fall out of the Top 25).

Northern Illinois, VaTech and Mizzou all find a spot in the rankings, while Northwestern finds themselves to be the biggest droppers (only 3 spots) after their hard fought game against the Buckeyes.

Big games for the upcoming week:

Rutgers vs. #8 Louisville (on Thursday)
#25 Mizzou vs. #7 Georgia
#19 Northwestern vs. Wisconsin
Red River Shootout: #12 Oklahoma vs. Texas
#17 Florida vs. #10 LSU
#15 Baylor vs. K-State
#2 Oregon vs. #16 Washington
#9 Texas A&M vs. Ole Miss

- Rutgers could play spoiler for Louisville if they can play up.
- Another SEC test for UGA, but it's between the hedges versus a Mizzou team that is probably more overrated than their #25 ranking says they are.
- The Red River Shootout could be quite the bloodbath with how bad Texas is this year.
- Baylor/K-State should be a high scoring affair, mostly by Baylor.
- This will be Oregon's biggest test of the season to date, going into Spokane isn't easy (Just ask Boise, Stanford, or USC).
- Ole Miss got handled by Bama and Auburn two weeks in a row, but they could trap A&M in Oxford.

Not sure how UGA drops a spot when they've lost everyone but Murray. Florida St did what was expected of them imo, ranking Maryland was a joke.

I was wrong about OU/Texas, the Longhorns played quite well today.

Mizzou pulls off the big upset in Athens, too.

Some interesting upsets today. Utah taking out Stanford is huge for Oregon.
