Newton for Philip Rivers

I have Newton. Would you trade him for Philip Rivers? Standard scoring league

I would and here's why:

-Mathews is hurt so with Woodhead getting more snaps, they'll throw more
-The young WRs are starting to step up for the Chargers
-Rivers has no other option but to throw (see my first reason).
-Rivers is a top 10 QB almost half way through the season; he's not fools gold.

Only reason I would consider not doing it is if you are in a keeper league, though I really dislike Cam and even traded him in my own keeper league. I got Stafford in return though, so I feel it's a big upgrade.

i drafted Cam, and had Carson Palmer as my back up.

after week 3, i picked up Rivers, benched Cam and released Palmer.

since then Rivers has done way more than Cam did, Rivers has been working great with their new coach with short passes and in the new system. Even losing to the raiders, he still put up 20 points.

Fire away on the trade.
