Bennet looked real rusty, not surprising as he wasn't allowed to even shoot a ball until August. 2-12 shooting, 7 points, 10 rebounds.

Karasev looked solid in 14 minutes.

Jazz fan disclaimer but Burke looked a **** ton better than he did in any of the previous excuses for games (scrimmage / summer league). Amazing what playing with NBA players will do for you. He still has rookie tendencies... stupid TOs, and the like.. and he can get to the rim but then throws up an awful shot. But those seem fixable. Jump shot was mostly money... one of those missed 3s was a desperation heave which twerked his stats. Lots of Jazz fans had faith restored tonight (for now...).

giannis looks like a fantastic pickup, kid looked great...could be a lesser durant type guy

bennett looked nervous, but the injury explanation sounds more plausible. what was it, surgery on his left shoulder? he'll take a while to get his groove back. he airballed two threes, not even close, and nearly airballed a free throw. got rejected at the rim a couple of times. looked like a rookie. he'll get better (i hope. kyrie needs help!).

He was quite efficient for a guy that bricked all this 3s. 12 points in 16 min on 8 attempts.

His defensive effort was better than i feared

caldwell pope couldnt make shot on quite a few wide open looks, which is his main strength, but continues to be a beast at doing everything else really well. always working at 100%, great defender, runs hard in transition and a great rebounder for a guard (had 7). perfect fit with the 4 sure starters detroit have. (jennings, smith, monroe, drummond). watch out.

Anthony Bennet looks so fat and out of shape. He looks more like a C than a PF or SF. I'm sorry, but i don't understand why he didn't run when he was injured. He had a shoulder injury, not legs.

McLemore looked nice. Not sold on this guy yet, but he definitely has potential to be a very nice scorer.

I was very impressed with Olynyk's (and Sullinger's) ability to pass the ball.

I thought Plumlee had a decent showing last night. Athletic, can finish, rebounded well down the stretch, good length.

Definitely see a little bit of Batum in Giannis. With a bit of bulk, that kid has got some serious potential.

Cody Zeller, don't pencil him in as ROY frontrunner, but it looks like he will have a nice career. Good at drawing fouls, versatile offensively, good energy and effort on defense.

Wow, can't belief his game is translating from the Greek league to the NBA so quickly. How was his defense? (Other than the blocks anyway) Did his non-highlight moments look pretty raw?

He had 5 turnovers, including some travels trying to drive, but every rookie is a turnover machine before they get used to things. He also had at least one really bad miss, though that fadeaway was so sweet that I can live with it. He looked pretty good on defense, but my opinion could be colored by the blocks and steals that he had.

I caught some of it, but not enough to see all of Giannis's PT. Noticed he picked up 5 personals, which could've had something to do with his opponent going at him strong since Giannis is pretty thin.

However, I noticed he was slow at rotating and struggled when Cavs were running some PnR.

Extremely raw, but surprised me with some of his passes, though I caught one where he just telegraphed it which might have something to do with his 5 TOs, that step-back jumper, and his aggressiveness to get to the free-throw line in 10 attempts.

Crazy he's only 18.
